I have Cablevision for TV and Internet (iO Interactive Optimum for TV and OOL Optimum Online for internet) and I can honestly say that the service is 100% perfect.

We have never had TV problems in our house, each has a sharp, crisp digital signal into each TV - even some TVs we have from before I was born look great with iO.

And the internet service which we had for a little over 3 years I think has literally been down only once. (Maybe like 5 times realistically).

I hate Cablevision its the worst, the only good is the optimum online at times. My modem was fried so i went to their "store" and they gave me a new one, only that was defective. I also had a screaming match because i had another modem that fried and had them replace it (they came to the house) and they said that it wasn't the modem cause the IP or something didn't match... In the end they just over rided the system and it was all good to browsing MR.
I hate IO is so freakin slow it take like 5 years to get info on the show your watching, i have direct tv in my room press get info comes right up.... the picture looks like crap, even though we called to have it fixed and nothing happens...
I hate dolan (he owns it and MSG and everything else) i hope he sells the garden and the rangers so we can actually get someone who knows how to run a hockey team

Haha funny you mention it, i had to call them today because they never received my check. After speaking to the person on the phone the first thing she said was "we received your check on September 17th. Our last bill was sent out the 21st we apologize for the inconvenience."

My check was in their office it just hadn't been processed so they jumped to the conclusion i had not sent it in and charged me extra, it got taken care of however.

I dislike all those telecommunications companies, they seem like bottom dwelling, scum sucking, sleezy profit and cash fiends, which could be argued is most big business today.

Comcast is still better then Cingular, Sprint, Verizon, Tmobile or any of those people.

I hate them... sorta. Not very good comstumer support. Also, my neighborhoods cable was taken over by comcast (from AT&T) so they told us they we get full speed but after talking to them later we only get half speed... which is a lot slower. Especially sence at times 4 computers are accessing the web at the same time.

I like Comcast. I have a 6mbit Internet connection and a Hi-Def DVR (SA8000HD) as well as a bunch of HD channels. Also, Video on Demand seems to be near as a new VOD channel just showed up the other night.

Once I was frustrated too though. Before HDTV was as popular, Comcast was slow to adopt new channels. Then when they finally added INHD and INHD2 they dropped HBOHD (West). It ticked me off so I e-mailed Steve Burke the president of Comcast. Several months later I realized that it wasn't all that bad so I followed up with the message below. He replied the next morning

Mr. Burke,

Several months ago I ranted to you about the fact that we lost an HBOHD
channel to make room for INHD and INHD2. I would like to apologize for
my message and in the same sentence thank you for INHD and INHD2.
Those two channels are usually the first place I check to see what's on
- of course, in High-Def!

Oh yeah... I fogot to mention the TV....

About 3-4 years ago we switched from Local to Comcast. When we first got it... it was great. But about 2 years ago, Channel 5 started sucking. We get like two seperate pictures, one with like greenish closer to the top right and one with more red closer to the bottom left. The sound quality is worse. All messed up! We've called them... but they can't fix it. Basically my Dad said that if they have to upgrade us to digital cable to fix it then, thats fine... but we're not paying the extra $$$ to get it.

This thread is starting to make me . Now I hate comcast even more.

Comcast is an excellent example of how bloated conglomerate corporations shouldn't exist. I hate corporate America.

I don't like Comcast. Their service stinks, they charge too much, and it drives me nuts that they put those pretentious commercials on the air saying 'DSL sucks, blah blah blah' when Sprint is (in my experience) more reliable and has much better customer service. Put up or shut up. 9/10 people I deal with at Comcast, whether it be someone on the phone or a tech that comes out to the house, are incompetent. Every time they come out to my condo development, their techs leave the junction box outside open for all the cable connections to get wet / exposed to the elements. I hate giving Comcast the money for high-speed, but I don't need a phone line and don't want to pay for one just to have DSL, and in reality, cable through Comcast is a better deal...faster connection for less money.

ok DVR box is making me angry now.

The hard drives are extremely loud, i mean i hear them over my TV.

When recording CSI the result was a 5 second audio/video drop every 45 seconds. Solving the mystery wasn't half the issue, trying to figure out what had happened was about 3/4 of the show.

i want to like comcast but uggggghhhh they are not helping

[raises hand]

comcast pisses me off to no end!

DVR has been a huge pain in my ass. for me it has had an unbelievable amount of problems. (not to mention their overcharging me by about double what they told me.) i am furious! no resolve yet and i am seriously considering cancelling them completely.
EDIT: when the DVR works it is great... when it works.

i have no trouble with my cable internet, which is the only reason i put up with this rubbish.

The only thing I hate about Comcast is what they did to TechTV.
My cable and internet works fine. I only wish I could get NFL Sunday Ticket.

In my area if Comcast is late or miss an appointment, they credit you $30bucks.
