If people want iphone news by MR, they can just go directly to https://www.macrumors.com/iphone/. What's the point of creating another site if there is one already at an easy URL to remember as well.
As others have said, No
IMO there is nothing wrong with what we have got
I'm not down. I guess I don't mind too much going to MacRumors to read about the iPhone.
Do you think we could at least get some more detailed categories?
Oh, I see where this is going. You want your own sub-forum in the iPhone section of the site. We could call it TehSpaz
However, it might be a good site to send the banned members and other less desirable members (and I don't consider the OP to be one of those, before anyone suggests it).It could be a site where everyone just bitches at each other. And no mods!
TheSpaz - is this in reaction to people to get your own blog? Just do it. Get your own blog and/or domain and post there to your hearts content. Want to really have fun? Turn of comments so no one can flame you either. Up to you.
But there's no reason to create an additional site just because you don't care for the fact that the domain name has the word MAC in it. I know it must be very frustrating for you to have to see that in your browser window. MAC MAC MAC when you want it to say APPLE APPLE APPLE.
Would you even have set up this poll if the site was called AppleRumors.com?
And the difference would be what, exactly?
TheSpaz -
The reason why a lot of recent entries are iPhone based is because there's a lot of iPhone news going on right now with the newly released 3GS.
There's not much new NEWS in regards to other mac products because that's just the cycle of news. When Snow Leopard is released and when there are new computers hitting the scene or whatnot, then macrumors will no doubt be computer biased vs iphone news biased.
Things ebb and flow. But that doesn't mean a news site should break from a winning formula.
Have you tried visiting that site?Applerumors.com maybe would be a better name but I'm sure that would result in lawsuits.
