I will I have a 128gb iPhone 6 Plus and it was almost full so 256gb option is my choice.

I have a 64GB iPhone 6 but it's almost filled up. Might choose the 128GB 7 Plus but who knows, I might change my mind for the 256GB just for fun (and to be on the safe side)! :)

256GB is way too much even for someone who has lots of games, movies etc on my phone 64GB is ideal tho closer to 100GB would be perfect

I most likely will. My 128GB 6S Plus is almost full and as you can't expand the storage on an iPhone I always go with the maximum capacity.

32GB is still my personal sweet spot. I don't take a ton of pictures and I usually keep just over 1,000 songs on my phone, and I'm always hovering around 6GB free on my 5S. That is a comfortable range for me, though I'm considering upgrading to an iPhone SE and will gladly take 64Gb of storage even though it's unlikely I'll use most of it.

16GB is a distant memory and I don't know how so many folks could live with that low a capacity for so long, and I'm not even a "power user" that needs a ton of space.

I have a 16GB iPhone 6. I won't be upgrading again this year; this phone is plugging along just fine.

However, if I were to upgrade, it would be to the 32GB. 16 GB is tight, but 32GB would suffice.

I'm using less than 30GB of space right now. 32GB would be tight for me, and not allow much room for more content. So given those options I would go for 128, but even that would be overkill.

I can't imagine how people fill 256GB on their phones. That's the size of my SSD on my PC, which has all my work, pictures, and most of my entertainment and still isn't full.

Not wise getting a 256gb this year unless you dont plan on upgrading next year. Next year it'll be the bomb I doubt anyone can resist upgrading again.

why would it matter what size model you get though? just means if you sell it you get more back.

If the "piano black" variant is available only in 256gb, then I'll be "forced" to purchase that one. Rumor was that the piano black version was confined to only the "higher-storage" models (though not necessarily the highest storage model).

Otherwise I'll do 128gb. My laptop is around 250gb and I still have room left over. With Cloud services, including Google Photos and iCloud, I just can't imagine how to even begin filling up a 250gb portable device.

I survived iPhone 6 with 16gig, 6s is 64 gig and I was once full on storage, deleted some stuff and enabled the iCloud photo thing, I'm at about 40 gig. Guess 128 is good.

You'll pay probably $100 more for storage that you don't need just for a colour?

128 is actually closer to 100 due to the way SSD sizes are calculated by the OS.

Yep, my IP6 128gb shows as a 114gb device in iTunes after size calculations. If the same holds true going forward a IP7 256gb would show up as more like 228, you do lose some gb off the top.

I will totally go for a 256 this year if it comes out. Storage is the most important thing to me on the phone and I don't worry too much about the rest of the hardware.

I've seen exclusive color options for vehicles range in the thousands. To each their own. Some care about how their phones look. I won't knock it. I also find people paying hundreds to thousands skin articles of clothing to be baffling, but some find value in all of that.

With unlimited data, I can manage with 16GB as I stream all my music, movies, and TV shows and store all of my pictures and videos in Google Photos. I also use Hangouts, so only recent messages are saved on my phone but I can still go back and access old messages at any time. 32GB of storage is plenty for me.
