I absolutely will if it's an option. I take so many photos and am so horrible about going back and deleting duplicates or worse versions of the same photo that the extra buffer will be a blessing.

I have a 128GB 6S plus. I just checked my storage and it said I only have 3GB free! I deleted some old files and now I've got 19.9 GB free. I need the 256GB model.

Just out of curiosity, what are you keeping on your phone that takes up that much space? Are you really using 100+ GB of data on a regular basis, or are you just hoarding stuff? :)

64GB would be my choice.

Aint gonna be no 64GB option. As usual Apple wont offer the most attractive capacity and instead "force" one to bump up to the next level and pay dearly for it.

Still undecided. The iPad, I automatically get the highest capacity available. The iPhones, however, don't get used as much. Even my photos don't take much space. Only reason I'd get higher capacity is for movies and TV shows - something I did quite a bit of on the 6+, not so much on the 6. Since I plan on getting the 4.7" model, I'll probably just go for 128GB.

I have a music library that 128 GB already isn’t enough space for and I think micromanaging your music library or eating up streaming data on it is silly. Even if you have an Apple Music subscription and don’t buy music directly you can still download the music to your drive.

Needing a 256 GB drive for personal photos is just mind boggling to me, especially with cloud sync and auto optimization for the photos on the drive. A digital hording support group might be in order here and maybe realizing not every second of the day is worthy of a photo.

Right. Photos are bad but music is okay.

People have different priorities. Those who buy the lowest capacity models probably think all of us paying the $100-300 upsell for extra storage are digital hoarders.

Exactly. :p

But yeah, I admit people have different priorities but for me I’ll expand on an old saying. A picture is worth 1,000 words. To me a song is worth 1,000 pictures (and takes up less drive space).

Somehow when you have kids... Pictures becomes very important and frequent. Not a moment to lose

You will appreciate that photo more in 30 years than some mp3 you bought, just saying. Especially since there are music streaming services were you have access to almost every song ever recorded at any given time for a very low cost.

Just face it, the days of collecting music are over. All that art is available for everyone now, always. Collect something else instead, something just for you. Like photos and videos of your life, experiences and loved ones and build a collection from that. Trust me on this one.

Large apps and 4K are the reasons to get more storage. Music takes up space too but at least you can stream it if you wanted.

Than why has nobody ever asked for people’s top 10 stranded on an island photos list? ;)

My mother once developed a roll of film that had 2 of my birthdays on it. That should tell you how little photos have been an important part of my life. And I have a great relationship with my parents, no need to read neglect into the lack of photo evidence of every waking moment. :)

I think 258GB is going to be more popular than many people think. I'll pick one upfor sure. At the moment im pushing my 128GB so it'd be nice not to have to think about it.

Anothing thing worth noting is that people who have been using iPhones for 9 years have a lot of photos/videos etc

I very much doubt that for the vast majority of people the rumoured 32GB minimum option will be more then enough.

I think people may want to check the price tag before they automatically say 256 this time, lol. I'm fully expecting this one to be an $1100+ phone, which is a bit on the ridiculous side.

Doubt it'll matter much. Most folks in the US will probably pay via installment plan or something.

On AT&T Next Every Year:

$650: $27.09
$800: $33.34
$950: $39.59

$750: $31.25
$900: $37.50
$1050: $43.75

I reckon some of those who would hesitate at paying the extra $100 for the next storage tier on the old 2-year contract pricing wouldn't even bat an eyelash at the extra $6.25 ($150/24) added to their monthly bill.

128GB should be enough for most people. If Apple does increase the minimum storage sizes it gives more incentive to upgrade to the 7. I'll be satisfied paying $849 for a 128GB iPhone 7 Plus.

Now that you mention it the increased storage sizes could mean a $50 bump to $699+ pricing, but I'm not sure that's the best move this year. Maybe next year if the 8 is so radical Apple can bump the prices upwards, but the increased storage space makes the 7 a better value and knowing I should be able to get a 128GB 7 Plus for $100 less than a 128GB 6s Plus cost gives more reason to upgrade at all.
