I want to use Google Voice, but no MMS is a deal breaker. I got sick of telling people, "If you text me, text this number. If you want to send me a pic, text this number."

I had it on my droidx and I didn't care for it too much.

The text transcriptions were never even close to what people were leaving. I had to listen to the recording or go to the website.

I never used the GV phone number for anything but texting my people from the GV webpage.

I like the ease and simplicity that the iPhone has for voice mail.

See I have not had a problem with the transcription. Now often times not perfect and have some errors but generally close enough for me to get the gest of the message and see how important it is.

I use GV as my voice mail and to give to people/companies that I want to be able to screen easier.
I find it vvm to be a lot better than the iPhone but then again I am on an Android powered phone so it integrates better than gv would on the iPhone.

Google Voice integration is the one thing that could get me to migrate to Android. Now that Apple has addressed the notification "problem," it'd sure be nice if they made it so there was complete gv integration. (it'll never happen, I'm sure)

When I had my phone jailbroken, lockinfo and gv phone extension were reason. Too bad the developer of gv phone extension doesn't seem very interested in keeping up support for it.

Never used it for voice calls, but I did use it last week while traveling on vacation to make use of the free texting.

As a side note, for voice/video, I used skype and facetime for calling family back home while on vacation.

If you use the "GV Mobile +" app (not the one from Google) in the app store along with "Talkatone" you can create a VOIP solution as it will place the call through GoogleTalk.

I'm using GVMobile+ with my iPhone dialer in the States, but change to dialing and receiving calls with Talkatone when out of the US. Not perfect, but pretty good.

I use the Google Voice number exclusively to text and receive calls...no one knows my real mobile number.

Also GV Mobile + has a MMS type solution that will upload pics and send the receiver a goo.gl/xxxx link to a pic. I can't recommend this app enough! Way better than Google's!

I use it for handing out my number, occasionally placing calls through gv plus. Sean was really old when he moved to the app store and sent a promo code. Is a great app.

I would prefer tighter integration for sure.
