Who is lining up outside?

Some are expecting likes to form outside with this highly anticipated X launch. Anyone in a line right now? What’s the vibe like? Photos to share?

I line up every year ... though this year for a variety of reasons that will be my Plan B. I'm going to try to pre-order and see how that goes first.

Damn a week in advance? Highly doubt theres anyone, except maybe at the 5th ave store. I'll be lining up Thursday midday if I'm not successful tonight with the pre order.

A week early sounds a bit extreme. I definitely believe some will line up two days in advance though from the launch Date.

I remember that year that scalpers were really bad and it was on the local news. I wonder if they’ve addressed that somehow.

ya i lined up last year in front of ATT for the 7+, well my chair waited i was in my car and it sucked. i am in such a small town that i could have came at 6am morning of launch and still got the phone i wanted....dohhh. No more waiting in line for me anymore....

Can I ask why you're choosing not to preorder?

Because I like to go to stores, specially when I'm buying an expensive and special product.

Buying online is like meh for me. I like the whole experience of going out shopping.

My closest store is in a mall. Mall security does not allow lines. If you arrive early, you have to “mall walk” and hope when enough people show up to form a big enough line, the shear volume of people prevents the rent-a-cop with no gun from playing Barney Fife.

I'm sure people will line up, but I've always thought it was silly in all honesty. More power to you, but I'd rather just sit around for days in the hopes of getting a phone, I have better things to do, such as play on my PS4

Well, I can't line up anymore. November 10 estimated arrival from Best Buy. #17 pre-order in that particular store and the BB employee told me I have a very good chance at getting it sooner like the first weekend. Maybe even for launch.

I much prefer Nov 10 for iPhone 10 so I have a little more time to think about it and check out reviews. Not a launch day rat racer. I have products bought 2-3 years after they were released and can enjoy them more than launch day ones riddled with bugs. It makes no difference to me if I receive it on launch or a day later.

I won't camp out but I will still show up Nov 3rd at an Apple Store to check out the phone. I need to see it and hold it first before making my final decision. I could do midnight showings for Star Wars but for launch day products, not so much. Gotta work. Time is money.
