4 Tiger
1 Leopard
1 Leopard Server

Waiting for at least 10.5.3 to update production machines.

Panther on my iBook G4, Leopard on my iMac.

I have a family pack so I could upgrade, but I'm worried that there will be problems. I know I'll lose Office v.X compatibility, for one thing.

i switched back to tiger on my macbook because leopard's wifi was unstable and kept disconnecting...

It is interesting that the other poll in the Mac OS X forum for "Which do you prefer, tiger or leopard?" has such different results. It currently shows about 91% favoring leopard. So if a greater percentage like leopard, have they just not purchased it? Or people prefer leopard more, but they have a program that they must use that does not work in leopard...

Either some reason like that or the sample groups do not represent the actual distribution - for mac rumors visitors or the general population.

Im still on Tiger.

Waiting for the numerous kinks to be worked out for leopard then i can consider upgrading.

Leopard on my powerbook, Tiger on the iMac C2D at work. I really don't like Leopard all that much, though. It's a lot slower and glitchy compared to Tiger but I'm too far along to go back.

I find Leopard chews up RAM and processor power and I don't really see any benefits. Safari 3 is also a complete dog at the moment. In comparison to Tiger there's also not a single feature of Leopard that I use that I wasn't using before so, given the decrease in speed and glitches, overall it's been a negative experience so far.

During the week I find using the Tiger-iMac is refreshing. Sad, but true.

Hopefully they'll tweak and refine it more with 5.2, but I'm not expecting much.

I run Leopard on my Macbook, but Tiger on my main iMac. I don't see the point in upgrading and I'm sure something will get screwed up.

Tiger on my iMac and Leopard on my BlackBook (Only because i cant install Tiger on it). I initially upgraded the iMac to Leopard but soon downgraded back to Tiger. I didn't like stacks, the Dock, the appalling way leopard handles permission repairs and general unpolished feel of the OS

Leopard there is absolutely no reason to run Tiger over Leopard. The interface sucks, it's old, and the new features of Leopard are far better then those of Tiger. There are a few issues with Leopard; hopefully, those get fixed soon.

Still running tiger but should switch soon. I have Leopard's box since october but I'm waiting for SuperDuper, Onyx (although I might go with the actual incomplete version anyway) and 10.5.2 (now that it's just around the corner).

I partitioned my hard-drive on my 12" Powerbook G4 and created a dual-boot Tiger (10.4.11) and Leopard (10.5.1), so I can choose which to use.

For the time being, I tend to use Tiger (90%) in preference to Leopard (10%) since Adobe CS is a little unstable in Leopard. Personally, Leopard still feels ‘beta-ish’ compared to Tiger which is more a much more matured OS. Once Leopard get nearer to 10.5.4, I can seem myself completely moving over.

Still, nice to be able to choose which OS to use upon start-up :D

I have to respectfully disagree with this. The interface is largely unchanged. In tech or dog-years it might be old, but it's pretty solid. There are some new features of Leopard that are incredibly powerful (DTrace, sandboxing, a few bold moves to 64-bit), Spotlight speed, and of course the idea of moving X11's codebase from the xfree86 codebase to the X.org codebase), but Tiger will be a great legacy OS for those running recent hardware, for several years. Additionally, the few issues will Leopard have been a major headache for some of us, so while I am on Leopard on my production machine (MP with no wireless), my MBP is feeling the growing pains. There's a reason 10.5.2 is reported to be so huge -- it's because they're fixing a lot. It's not like they're adding huge features like TM or something. They already did that.

And if you look at the current state of X11, which is embarrassingly broken for those of us who use it day to day, one has to wonder what on earth Apple was thinking when they released Leopard! (Admittedly, X11 is a non-issue for most users, so that's what they were thinking.)

Tiger on MB C2D - But Thinkin' about Leopard...

Running Tiger on my MacBook C2D.....

But was very tempted to go to Leopard until reading posts here...

Only thing tempting about Leopard is TimeMachine...otherwise, don't see anything really useful added, just different interface-wise...

But willing to be convinced otherwise....

;)

Still using Tiger on all my work machines, and will continue to do so until Leopard's X11 works correctly with Expose/Spaces.

tiger

im still using tiger, but thats only because ive tried to upgrade to leopard 5 times.. all unsuccessfully .. :(

i get to a certain point where it says my system cant be upgraded because it isnt 10.4
when my computer (aluminum iMac) is 10.4.11

 so frustrating

the leopard install disc doesnt care what the previous os is. your computer should have no issue

Over a year after my last response, still using Tiger, but on a different machine. My mini runs Leopard, but even though it's faster then my iBook, I still use my iBook quite a bit more. (Mostly because I don't like Leopard)

Funny thing is though, my iBook originally came with Leopard, and I downgraded it to Tiger.:)
