Ordered a black 64gb 3G this morning (UK). I ordered the same but wifi only a few days ago, and in the time since I'd been umming and aahing, and ultimately regretting, going wifi only so I cancelled it today and went 3G. Glad I did, think I might regret it later otherwise.
Despatch date is 12th May, delivery 18th, but I'm hoping it might appear a couple of days early. I'm in no crazy rush for it, I can see me completely forgetting about it in the next couple of days. Unlike the iPad 1 - I was SALIVATING for that, heheh, got it a day earlier than UK launch after tracking it every 3 minutes for a week

Can take advantage of no taxes & free shipping. I bet you paid a price premium to "buy" it through Amazon. I'm guessing too you got it from one of Amazon's partner merchants/sellers, not directly from Amazon
Just been released in a few other countries so I reckon this shortage of supply could continue for months. I bet the best time to get stock is when Ipad 3 is almost due.
With the iPad 2 WiFi being released in China and all models being released in Hong Kong the iPad 2 scalpers are finishing up right now. As of today it is my last day waiting in lines and hiring people to wait in lines. The U.S. will probably see the same amount of iPad 2s coming into stores but there won't be scalpers so more people can get them.
No way in hell, could I wait for over a month. My brother bought mine as a birthday gift, whilst he's in the US, and I had to pay a (£70+) customs charge, once it arrived in the UK, but that's no problem, considering I've been enjoying it for a month now.
Even if I paid for my iPad myself and my brother merely shipped it, the extra costs incurred, would've outweighed 4+ weeks of waiting, IMO.

Finally ended my quest, I went to the Apple Store in Manhasset, NY and got a 64gb wi-fi version. They had a lot of wi-fi and Verizon ipads. They had no AT&T ipads. Interestingly there were those Chinese scalpers looking for the AT&T version.
Who is still waiting for the Ipad 2 to be delivered?
I am, only because I sold my first one (white verizon 64), in favor of a black AT&T 64G model, and am expecting delivery before the end of next week.
Finally I got mine 1 day before target date! I checked TNT website almost every few hours after received the tracking number (sound like crazy). Mine toy stuck in Hongkong 2 days somehow, then transit very quick
