Who is taking time off work on Friday the 16th?

I am taking a half day at work Friday and will leave work around noon. UPS typically doesn't show up before noon... and definitely not on an iPhone launch day. I'll work for a few hours, grab lunch and then come home and chill on the couch watching daytime TV while waiting for my package....

(EDIT: I am taking half day of PTO... so I am getting paid for it)

Luckily I can work from home. So I will work while patiently waiting for my UPS. If its my regular driver she usually arrives in afternoon before 3.
 
Nope. I'll be busy dealing with the mass hysteria that is an iPhone launch. Gotta love selling cell phones. Not to mention, I'm not losing 8hrs in my paycheck for a phone...even if it is the Jesus phone. But if my phone delivers on launch day, I will be using my lunch break to drive home to get my phone Lol

I don't mind staying up late for the preorder, but I'm certainly not taking off work for a delivery. UPS does a good job delivering with specific directions as well.
 
working from home to receive it. i wanted to do in-store pickup, but the option was not available.

First week at my new job. I'll be sticking it out until at least 5 sadly.
 
I find the delayed gratification exciting... my coworker and I will both be eagerly anticipating the end of the day to go home to our new 7's. Will give me something to look forward to that day (while saving a vacation day :p )
 
I have to work tomorrow - as a cover manager so I took Friday off - My phone pre order is not saying I will get it on launch day but I am hoping something will happen anyway....:eek:
 
I took the day off months ago. As soon as I read that Evan Blass was predicting a 9/16 launch.

I made kids doctors appointments for that day just so it didn't seem like I was taking off for an iPhone launch...
 
I'll be teaching today's youth...til 3, driver usually comes at 4.
 
Since my ship date is presently October 4-10, I may go to the store first thing in the morning to see if there's any stock of the elusive Jet Black. I haven't decided, but if I'm off, I will.
