Meh. I can live without that until/if cashiers stop taking cards and cash.

I think Apple Pay is more useful than a little bit more RAM. Do you think the presentation would have been better if they skipped the Apple Pay part and just showed "2 GB RAM" on the screen? I'm sure everyone would have been impressed.
I'm not saying more RAM wouldn't be useful. Yesterday I was using my 5s to listen to music while getting directions from maps and checking Facebook while in a car. The maps app kept exiting and stopping the directions. Possibly because it was crashing or maybe it was out of memory.

What else is there to add to cell phones? I think they have plateaued. That said, many of us have been waiting for a larger screen, so it doesn't get much more exciting than this year. I think Apple Pay is the only "new feature" this year and if it works as advertised (which Apple processes typically do) it will be a GREAT feature.

More RAM.

More RAM is something helpful to every single operation and general day to day enjoyment from the device. Apple Pay is something very few people will use very infrequently. RAM is essential, Apple Pay is non-essential. We can pay with cash and cards, we can't magic more RAM out of thin air.

I see no urgent reason to jump on the 6.... My battery life is just fine... AND
NOTHING is remarkable in the 6 that makes me say "I GOTTA HAVE THAT"...

I have a 5s and we know if we live long enough the 6S will come out...

What would make me jump... not sure...

I'm getting the 6+, BUT if in a few months later I decide I made a hasty decision, I'm trading my 6+ to my mother who I bought a Gold 5S, and later upgrade that iPhone to a 6+S. The only issue is I bought her a 16GB storage.

I might be an exception, but I know in the next year there are gonna be a lot more times that I wish I had Apple Pay than I will sit there wishing I had another gig of RAM.

I am not saying more RAM would be a bad thing. I don't want be like one of those people demanding that Apple keep selling a 16 GB model because I don't need the extra space.

I do think you are underestimating how popular Apple Pay will be in the next 2-3 years.
