who like the new Beta for Firefox?

The biggest annoyance for me is when I find a new desktop picture and right click then select "Save Image As..." if I rename it I have to remember to type in .jpg at the end. If I do not it saves the file without an extension making it unusable until I manually add one later.

I need to confirm this, might worth a report..

EDIT. looks like a long standing bug, I found 3 report at bugzilla. Im not sure if it will get attention in current stage of firefox 3. I can only suggest to double click the file name before you rename it, which will select all of the names except the extensions.

I also could not use the online bill payment for one of my creditors. I did not get one of those IE only warnings it just would freeze on loading the page. Firefox 2 works fine though.

Are u using beta 5? There are quite a few bug fixes since beta 5, try out RC1 when it released next week or so, if still not working, please let me know, or file a bug report yourself to bugzilla.mozilla.org . this type of bugs are of the top priority if conformed.

Yep using Beta 5 I have it set to automatically update and I check their site every week. As far as bugs go I do report them when I come across them.

I'm sure they will get these kinks worked out but until then I will keep Firefox 2 handy. I must say though from my web activity Firefox 3 for Mac is in much better shape then the Windows counter part, I used it for a day and switched back to 2.

Now they need to add a 68K version for System 6/7

Yes, built in dictionary is something i've been using more and more these days, one of the very handy things about osx

i dont think osx dict will be utilized in firefox 3, but probably will be considered in subsequent versions.

before that, extensions can fill this void for now.
