My number is xx01235. I kept my old number, but lucked out with that for a google voice number.

there are 1 million different possibilities before getting the right number.

Hardly.

There's only 295 area codes in the US/Canada, plus the first three digits can't start with a 0 and they can't be 555.

That alone means there's only 265,205 legitimate possibilities. Stalked.

901-5901. I'd say that's pretty easy to remember.

P.S. If I get any calls from Mac Rumors stalkers, be sure to leave a voicemail as I usually don't answer unrecognized numbers! :p

there are 1 million different possibilities before getting the right number. And I don't know about you guys, but I get more than enough wrong numbers for me to worry about 1/100000 people getting my number.

Yes, there are a huge number of possibilities if you don't know where to start, however, DanggxAmanda has stupidly posted her location on a public forum. With that information, it is easy to determine the area code. There are only a certain number of prefixes assigned to cell phones in that area. It's really not that difficult from there.

Normal people aren't going to look that up. Predators are everywhere, even on MacRumors. This child has gone WAAAAY too far revealing her personal information. She posted her photo, her school, her car, her license plate, her BFF photos, the fact the she giggles about her '69', she repeats that she is a "teenager", she likes her sexy phone, she lies to her parents about where she is going, etc.

She is a little Tease with no knowledge about the real world. She is going to get herself in trouble if she keeps revealing so much private information to the perverts out there.

I believe that she has placed herself in a dangerous situation and continues to add fuel to the fire. Go back and read through her posts. Google her screen name and see what pops up about her. See if you agree.

My last 7 digits spell my name. I didn't even ask for it to be this way. Any math wizzes know the probability of this happening?

I know you said your name was Michael, but I believe the possibilities of randomly pressing 7 numbers and it being "Michael" is one in 2,097,152.

I say this because there are 8 possible digits you can press (1 and 0 don't have any letters), so that leaves out any phone numbers with 0 or 1. So I believe you just multiply the possibilities by the number of possibilities, so that is 8* 8* 8* 8* 8* 8* 8 or 8^7 power. Of course, I doubt anyone has a name of AAAAAAA. But whatever. Someone want to see if my math is right? I don't think there are other variables, right?

7878.

I'm very attached to this number. I've had it for almost a year now, and trust me, having had about 10-15 number changes in the past 3 years, one year with the same number is a very long time. Haha.

haha, even so, you don't know where I live, and even you did, you don't know if my phone # is from where I currently live. I'd imagine those of use who have numbers that we really like would keep them after moving somewhere despite the different area code. Given all that, even if you found the number, you'd have no idea if it's me. There are better methods of stalking me.

In the case of that Amanda girl - I didn't realize she revealed as much info as she did. While there is the possibility her # is from a different locale than her current residence, if it's not it'd probably be very easy to get the #.
