why iPhone?

- well- as pointed out earlier - to get a phone!

I originally bought a touch because where I live, the iPhone is not for sale !!! (yes Apple must still be haggling with the phone-companies, since they seem bent on locking their device to one operator) (sic.) But when my old phone started dying in the middle of calls at a rate of 55% I bought an iPhone via glorious internet. Of course it is hacked. Apple left me no choice there. Now my phone works great.

What is not so good is this:
1 I have to use apple headphones - the plug on my beloved Skullcandy is too thick for the (stupid) iPhone design (touch no problem)
2 All syncing must happen via iTunes, which is about entertainment, and to sync work data just feels wrong...
3 I can not add single tracks to the iPhone, only play lists - via the interface in iTunes - and I have lots of playlists - that I must scroll through in a very small window
4 I can only sync with one machine (one iTunes app.) This is really stupid as i have a "workMac" "homeMac" and a portable one.

I'm happy with the phone but not with the limitations.
O' mighty corporate Apple, we want freedom.

PS
no- I do not want a PC.
