LOL I did that this morning. I woke up late on the 10th so I ordered 41 min after pre-order began and my shipping window is may13-26

This morning I ordered a 42mm Milanese Loop with a shipping of "By June 1st"... I find it funny that I ordered the two watches 16 days apart yet their delivery dates are only 6 days apart... Should've just ordered the Milanese off the bat!!! oh well live and learn I guess... I bet the milanese comes first!

Got mine in Friday but haven't gotten a chance to post since. So far battery life has been great. It comes out of the box with 80% so plenty to last the rest of the day Friday. Wore it all day yesterday and had 35% battery left. Today i'm sitting at 65% at 9:37pm. Went on a 5 mile walk through central park today and the activity tracker worked perfectly.

The biggest thing I didn't really think about was the fact that i'm left handed but usually still wear my watch on my left hand. Normally its not a big deal with a regular watch as you are just glancing for a second to get the time. Now with this watch I have to use my non-dominant hand to operate the watch. All the fine motor skills are a bit of a hassle. Now obviously I could switch it up, but I haven't tried that yet.

My GF who was totally against me getting the watch saying it was just going to distract me even more has come full circle and now thinks its actually helping since I suffer from the phantom vibrating disease where I constantly think i'm getting a notification. Now I only glance at my watch.

I also took it to a NBA playoff game with lots of clapping and cheering. The watch never activated unless I wanted it to. I always thought clapping and things like that would activate it. So glad it did not.

So far I would give the device a B+/A- right now. I also think the SS + Black Sport band is by far the best looking and 100% happy with that decision.

There are a few China Cargo planes coming in around 1am Alaska time from Shanghai. So if apple is not relying on UPS alone for planes from china these might have watches on them. They land about 5am Est. it appears there was a China Cargo plane that landed in anchorage this morning between 10 and 11 am at which point there were some charges from Apple.

To me it only gives them more stock to sell. It'll go to the next person and they haven't started selling in stores yet either. I'm sure that once Apple gets caught up with their current orders, they'll flood the stores with product.

If Apple's using China Cargo and all these planes have watches on them, we could move up to 00:04:45 by noon tomorrow! (noon in Alaska... 1 PDT)

My 12in 1.3ghz Retina MacBook finally shipped over the weekend despite having a shipping estimate of May 8-15. It is being delivered by Fedex, so it's possible that Apple will use Fedex to move more watches instead of relying only on UPS. It would make sense because they should have more flying over than they did at launch.

I think the bigger problem they created for themselves, was not having the in-store tryons start 2 weeks BEFORE pre-orders. Have people come in, decide what they want, then pre-order accordingly.

I think what they created was a mess of people not knowing which one they would want, so ordered multiples, and will end up returning one. I almost ordered the Space Sport too, because I was unsure. I would have returned the one I didn't want. With hindsight, I should have. But on the 10th (after i pre-ordered), I went to try them on, and was happy with my choice (42 SS BSB).

Seriously, how did they think people were supposed to choose sight unseen, especially the diehards that wanted to be among the first to place their orders?

All around, they screwed this one.

I tried to do that... I'm in CA. I hit the refresh button on the Apple Store app starting at a few minutes before midnight. I wasn't able to get into the store until 12:03. I ordered the 42MMBSB At 12:05 and the 35MMBSB AT12:06 (would have been sooner but I couldn't figure out how to order two watches at once so I gave up and ordered them separately).

My solution to avoid this problem next pre-launch is to start placing my order significantly earlier than I did this time. That is only way to guarantee you're not placed in a later queue. Jus get in, place my order for the main product, use Apple Pay, and get out. I'll separate order for any accessories. And I'll purchase Apple Pay upon receipt of the main product. I'll be like a ninja. Get in at 12:01AM PST, get out at 12:02AM PST, done, go back to sleep.

Don't get too excited. There are still several in here that are in the 3 minute mark and are still waiting for an update. You and I have have the same time. I'm really hoping we see an increase in shipments this week or we can bet on the 5/8 delivery. With that said, Apple never seems to amaze me and we could get lucky.
