Maybe all the other models are being shipped from China and because Apple is using SS 42mm with the black band for their demos, they shipped a ton of them and they are sitting at warehouses. Meaning we all get Friday delivery!

I'm going to choose to believe this rather than my own thoughts in order to fight the blinding and crippling depression and fear that I won't have a watch Friday.

That's what I wonder: not reallocation specifically, but just the reported very high demand for the black sport band. (Someone also noted that basically all of the usable demo Watches in Apple Stores are "our Watch" as well.) Is all that going to hurt us?

That's the dumbest thing I've heard all day. Why would they use parts to sell a cheaper model?

Ordered 2 SS w/ black sport band (42 for me 38 for my lovely wife)

No charge as of yet and still processing.

Paid with a Wells Fargo debit through Apple Pay time stamped at 3:01 EST on the 10th.

personally i'm relieved to see that NONE of us are being charged yet because then I'd feel left out. Now if some of you start reporting that your status changed and mine hasn't, i'll be worried.

even if others start getting charged before some of us. If they ordered at a later time than you, then it is completely possible there watch is shipping from China and yours is already sitting in your country of residence waiting for you.

There can be very much a connection between the floor models and the orders.

Apple is very very efficient in how they ship products. If the floor models are production units. Apple could have just very easily ship a ton **** of them to all the countries and our watches are safe and sound just waiting to be delivered.

A few commenters on this thread have described 38mm cases and/or Milanese bands (as their sole orders). Check the thread title, folks.

The ones I saw are saying they ordered two watches, the SS with black sport AND one with a milanese band but have only been charged for the milanese. This seems pretty on-topic to me.

Nope:

I'd think that they would go ahead and take our money.

Because there's a far higher demand for it. They're getting our money anyway; the only question is which model gets delivered first. Distributing some quantity of "a cheaper model" a few days before yours or mine loses Apple, what, a few days' worth of interest on the marginal price increase of SS minus Sport? It's miniscule.

Anyway, as I said, I'm not concerned about reallocation. It's just a matter of a whole lot of demand for black Sport bands.

If black sports band supply was a constraint we would have at least seen some shipment eek out... there have been none.

still nothing for the us with the 42 mm SS/black sports band. I still have not been charged yet, has anyone else with this watch configuration been charged yet and has there order move to prepare for shipping? Just wondering.

I kind of have feeling for the people that order the the stainless steel with black sports band, will probably not a charge until later tonight that is my guess.

I live in Toronto Canada and my order that is ss with a classic band is preparing for shipment and I ordered ss with black sport band that has not. The classic one I ordered first.

Cheers

Jeff

I agree, I think we would at least have seen one by now. I would be fairly surprised if they didn't ship any of the SS Sport Watches for the 24th.

I have a ss classic that went through at 12:07 that hasn't been charged / shipped. I ordered my ss black sports band first, and it hasn't obviously went out either. When did you order your ss classic? Super pissed!

There's reports of the "Sport" Space Grey version charged. So we can assume there's no problems with the manufacturing of the black sport band.

And also no problems with the SS encasing.

So its just this particular combination of 42mm with Black Sport band that is missing.

Also to note that there are no reports for the pink band either.

So... you take a lack of shipments to suggest a lack of supply constraints?

That seems a bit backwards.
