Is it time to freak out yet, or wait until one of us has been charged?
Maybe all the other models are being shipped from China and because Apple is using SS 42mm with the black band for their demos, they shipped a ton of them and they are sitting at warehouses. Meaning we all get Friday delivery!
That's what I wonder: not reallocation specifically, but just the reported very high demand for the black sport band. (Someone also noted that basically all of the usable demo Watches in Apple Stores are "our Watch" as well.) Is all that going to hurt us?
personally i'm relieved to see that NONE of us are being charged yet because then I'd feel left out. Now if some of you start reporting that your status changed and mine hasn't, i'll be worried.

The ones I saw are saying they ordered two watches, the SS with black sport AND one with a milanese band but have only been charged for the milanese. This seems pretty on-topic to me.

38mm Sport White ordered at 3:06am EDT... charged & preparing for shipment.
Anyone else who ordered a 42mm Milanese not seen any updates or charges?

There can be very much a connection between the floor models and the orders.
Apple is very very efficient in how they ship products. If the floor models are production units. Apple could have just very easily ship a ton **** of them to all the countries and our watches are safe and sound just waiting to be delivered.
That's the dumbest thing I've heard all day. Why would they use parts to sell a cheaper model?

I'd think that they would go ahead and take our money.
Because there's a far higher demand for it. They're getting our money anyway; the only question is which model gets delivered first. Distributing some quantity of "a cheaper model" a few days before yours or mine loses Apple, what, a few days' worth of interest on the marginal price increase of SS minus Sport? It's miniscule.
Anyway, as I said, I'm not concerned about reallocation. It's just a matter of a whole lot of demand for black Sport bands.
If black sports band supply was a constraint we would have at least seen some shipment eek out... there have been none.
I live in Toronto Canada with a ss with a classic band that is preparing for shipment and I ordered ss with black sport band that has not. The classic one I ordered first.
Cheers
Jeff
I agree, I think we would at least have seen one by now. I would be fairly surprised if they didn't ship any of the SS Sport Watches for the 24th.
