who order a 42mm Stainless Steel Apple watch with Black sports

Not what I said.. I work in import / export + logistics. There would at least be some black bands here if there was a shortage. There is no way apple sent zero, when it's the first product listed on the site, the cheapest, the main display model, and has the first delivery window (for the ss model.)
The fact that zero have been processed is in my experience a sign that the entire batch of black bands are either A.) still in transit from the plant or B.) Being held for whatever reason. They are most likely shipping whole blocks of sku's at one time and then obviously processing the first shipments to arrive first. This also helps with customs entry purposes, as you only have to declare a single item per obl.
If they only had a limited amount we would have at least seen a few trickle out. If that happens and a significant number of people aren't covered, then we know there is a real supply constraint. My money says however that apple produced more black sports bands than any other, because they will 100% be the most popular / default option.
My ss classic band was ordered at 12:03 am and my ss with black sport band was ordered at 12:01 am
Im suggesting that if it was constrained there would probably be some going out. It appears that none are going out. If they had none for the launch I do not believe they would have had an estimated delivery of the 24th through 8th. So what I am saying is that if some were going out it would be a bad sign that maybe they are severely constrained and a lot of people aren't getting them on the 24th. The fact that its none might mean they just havent processed the SS with Sports Black yet.
While this is no means a fact or insight into what is actually happening its just a theory.
Same boat pretty much... Received my confirmation email at 03:02:10 and I'm still processing. My cable has been "preparing" for hours now. We shall see... I'm sure it's nothing.

I was an AVP for Wells Fargo. I have read news articles estimating pre-sales anywhere from 1.5mil to over 3 million watch orders. There is 0% chance that apple can charge this many cards in only a few hours. They are obviously systematically charging specific models one by one and going down the line. This can take a while to batch out this many payments and has to be methodical to be right. Be patient it will happen soon I'm sure.

Wasn't going to get up at 3 am on the morning of the 10th to place my order, plus wanted to actually see and try one on first before I placed the order. Finally, I'll be on vacation for two weeks in June, and when every model showed "June" for delivery, I thought why rush into this.
Thought it over, and just went ahead and placed the order. If it looks as if it will be delivered while we are on our trip, I'll just change the shipping address to my workplace.

The 42mm was originally ordered through the Apple Store App on my iPhone using my debit card and Apple Pay. I ordered the 38mm on my iPad rMini using the App w/o Apple Pay. I called and changed both to the same CC the next day. The rep said the 42mm was processed at 12:03 AM PT and the 38 was processed at 12:04 AM PT.

not defending the post, but there have been a few SS white sport bands being reported as charged and preparing in some of the threads.
Rule of thumb = just use commonsense
If there's thousands of people on here and only one guy says his changed, he's probably trolling
