So here is a question. For those who have done a reservation through the iPhone app, have you seen your credit card pre-authorized?

No because a reservation is not the same as a pre-order. A reservation just means they put your name on the list and they will hold the iphone for you on the 24th. You have to go into store and pay.

I actually started off with a reservation at an Apple store and then finally ordered through AT&T. Until I see a status that shows out for delivery I am not canceling my reservation. I don't trust AT&T with all of their system issues today.

Ditt F***ing O

I hope ATT doesn't pull some "Group X who ordered on A hour gets there first while Y who ordered on B hours gets theres the week after". I have a reserve there in case someone I know didn't get a chance to order one "like my lunk headed brother who didn't preorder. Grrrr". If all is well and it ships out Tuesday or Wednesday then i'll cancel it and someone who is sad faced due to not preordering will have a surprise waiting for them on Thursday.

Well, what's weird is that I now have a pre-auth charge after putting in a reservation through the Apple Store app on the iPhone. It asked me for my existing ATT info and then showed me the subsidized pricing ($299) for the 32gb.

I had also ordered my wife a 16gb through ATT premier so I know it's not that authorization, which would have been $230 after tax and fees.
