Thank you for starting this thread! It's great reading positive posts for a change. Admittedly, I got jaded by all of the constant negativity that took place and I eventually cancelled my order. Then after reading some positive reviews earlier this week, I placed a new order. I would have been a Day 1 delivery, now I get to wait until the end of December instead. Big lesson learned there.

It's fun reading thoughts from those that are enjoying their new MBPs. Keep em' coming!

Many are widely available at Apple stores now. No need to wait to order!

I was an OG distractor to the new machines...

I waited and drudged through 4 months of using Chromebooks, Tablets and whatever I could get my hands on waiting for the announcement. I knew without a doubt I was going to buy the second they became available.. When announced I was meh... My previous posts here will indicate my displeasure..

I decided to get a Lenovo Yoga 910 and for the most part I really like it. My sons computer died and he needed a new PC. He said he really wanted a 2 in 1 so yesterday I gave him the Yoga and went into the Apple Store. Ended up getting a base 13" Space Gray and so far it's fine...

I like it well enough and the 2 ports are probably fine for my usage. I already had USB C dongles from when I had the 12" MacBook so no problem there and 2 ports are enough for me.. The screen is great, the trackpad is awesome (love the large size) and the KB is fine. I was use to the 12" KB so I don't have any complaints about that..

My one and only qualm is with the price, that's it.. I do think it's overpriced but I am overall pleased (not thrilled) with it.. I will keep it and see what the future brings..

It's a nice computer and had they kept the same pricing (heck maybe even $100 more than last year) you probably would have never heard a negative word from me.. The $200 difference between the 2015 and 2016 MacBook Pro is overkill and nothing more than Apple tax, because they can..

Not trying to be a negative Nancy or anything as I have one now and I like it well enough...

Have the base 13" non touch bar. Love it but hate that there's not really any good options for docks to hook up two HDMI monitors. Have thoughts laying in bed at night about returning it for the touch bar but just don't think it's worth it right now.

So far I am really loving it (15 inch model).
The touch bar is useful if you spend enough time trying to get used to it and to customize it. The screen is great, battery looks good too. Great machine for all my work needs, and I can also do some light gaming on it (Hearthstone, Darkest Dungeon etc).
I still think the laptop is probably about $300-400 overpriced, but unfortunately there are not a lot of alternatives that work for me (Windows is not an option).

Got a 13" Touchbar yesterday, and just set it up. It's slick. Solid. Fast. My first retina MacBook...wow! I've seen a lot of people say the keyboard is loud, but that seems to be conditioned on how hard you hit them. They don't need to be pounded on. I can type quietly and fast with a light touch.

Ten days ago I bought the base non touch bar MacBook Pro 13" and I was amazed by how great the machine was. I was upgrading from an early 2011 MacBook Pro and the difference between the two is amazing. I liked it so much and after seeing some reviews I returned it today and bought the 13" higher end MacBook Pro. I am so far loving the touch bar. I've only had a few hours before work to get it all set up and then played with its little at work on my breaks and lunch and now a few hours after work. I am SO Glad that I spent the extra $500 to get this machine.

I mostly love the unit. There a few things that need to improve or I need to get used to.

This is great advice and thank you for passing it on to folks! Only thing holding me back is it's about 3 hours round trip to the nearest Apple Store for me. If I knew for a fact that the exact one I wanted was in stock, I'd drive there in a heartbeat. But making that drive and hoping for blind luck is a little much.

However, this is a great way to get a new MBP for those with an Apple Store near them!

I've heard of people calling and having one put on hold for them. Maybe something to look into.

I ****ing love it and I am so relieved my journey to find a new laptop is over. For the past 8 months I've been returning laptops every other month but I can finally say I am looking forward to a nice 3-4 years with this babe.

Now only if bootcamp didn't **** up my speakers :(
