I would...but I want to be free of contract in case they go to VZW next year...I wish they would just say either way how its going to play out. If they aren't going to VZW, I would buy the new phone in an instant....

I said I wouldn't but considering I'm already going to upgrade my 3GS dispite only having my 3g for 4/5 months I'd say probably :p
It's just such a fantastic piece of technology. I love it to bits and I'm not an Apple fan.

Actually no it's not true at all

Are you actually going to argue that the "Upgrade policy is unfair" posts didn't dominate this forum for days? If not, what isn't true about it? The number of people here who complained, threatened, or cried about the upgrade policy was truly a site to see on this forum. I really didn't realize how MANY would act like AT&T was ripping them off or trying to trick them with the contract they signed.

What she said is exactly what is going to happen here when the next phone comes out. People will get more outraged, angry, and annoyed that they can't super-sub their phone for a 3rd straight year because of their uber-loyalty towards Apple.

If you upgraded without complaining, congrats. You join the list of people I can count on one hand. I am not sure why someone who has read this forum would think she was pointing at anyone but those who complained about the upgrade policy.

Since re-sale value is so high, I can see people buying iphone every year. It's quite possible you can spend $50-$100 to have a new phone every year. Nice..but waste of money none the less.:D

Amazes me how much more people pay because they have to have it "now," and then complain about how cheaper it is for those that can wait the extra 6 months or so when the prices come down. I was going to get the 3GS when it became available to me, but I'll think I'll wait until the next mod comes out, so it'll be 2 years for me.

I will be getting my first iPhone is a week or two. I think I will have new iPhone every time Apple launches one... if that is not more than once a year.

I'd upgrade, as long as these 2 variables come into play:
1) I can get it at the best "new" customer price. (no problem as I have a family plan with 2 phones. Each year I qualify for the best upgrade price)
2) I can sell my old model phone, unlocked, for more than the upgrade price of a new phone.

So far so good. God bless the iPhone Dev Team!

then people like you that moan about people moaning should make it clear that it isn't EVERYONE that moans, I didn't.

I always say I won't and then I always do.

I guess that is the benefit of having 5 lines on a family plan.

Someone is almost always eligible. :D
