FINALLY received my T&C e-mail! Still not sure where I stand on delivery status, but it's at least a start. I still get the same error message when I check it on ATT's order status page, but after waiting 83 hours for the first e-mail, that doesn't really surprise me. I'll update again when I know more.

i think you're the only person in the same boat as me.. i ordered over the phone with ATT CSR friday morning. i just received my TC email 5 hours ago. i accepted. there is still no status online, and CSR says they are "waiting for me to sign TC email"

I'm hoping tomorrow the system will update itself and there will be something available.

please keep this thread updated, it seems like we are left out of the 4S joy :p
 
I just got my order confirmation e-mail...bad news. It says it will ship in 21-28 days!! :mad: I can see my order on ATT's order status site now and it says I ordered on 10/10!! I am really hoping they are not that terrible of a company to completely blow it like that. I have a feeling that they are though...what a great "welcome to ATT" gesture.
 
Two separate at&t reps told me the phones ship on friday and we'd get the iphones on the following monday, even though their site says otherwise:confused:

I also got my T&C email today. I ordered on the 7th so hopefully it AT&T doesn't think I ordered the phone two days later or something. That could be a difference of like 2 weeks judging by how long the waits are.
 
Anyone able to get info on their orders when AT&T order status systems return errors?

I (rue the day I) ordered my white 32GB unit on the phone from AT&T on Friday at 4pm ET. I got my T&C and accepted them immediately on Sunday night. Then I got my order status email on Monday with my order number (beg. with 4103). But, like many of you, I can't track my order status through att.com or through their phone system. Those systems tell me my order cannot be found.

I've talked to three different CSRs, who have given me three different stories on what's going on. All of them say they can see my order, but none of them know what its status is or why I (and they) can't access the order status. One told me it's a communications problem with Apple and it's up to them to fix it. Another told me I had to wait longer (than 5 days?) for their system to update. Finally, the CSR I spoke to today told me she would schedule a call with someone on their mgmt team (?) for tomorrow b/t 9 and 10am and that they will have been looking into the problem to see what's going on.

I don't have much faith that I'll get any sort of useful answer from them, but just wondering if anyone has had any luck so far in getting info on your orders when AT&T's order status systems return errors messages.

The order status site says in progress and pending shipment, but the backordered quantity has a 1 for both phones. I believe Arcadia is in the same boat as me right now.

I think I am in the same boat with you. I ordered on 10-7, get the T&C email on 10-10, and get the confirmation email on 10-11 said 21-28 days. Now the online status shows the date of my order is 10-11. WTF!! I am thinking to cancel the order and re-order from apple. At least apple will ship in 1-2 weeks
 
The order confirmation I got didn't specify any sort of shipping time. It looked like this:

But if anyone else got a confirmation like this (i.e., without a specific shipping time), have you been able to get a shipping estimate from AT&T's order status page? I just feel completely in the dark here.
 

i was late to the game as i didnt order till saturday morning because i was at my hunting camp which is shut off to the world. So i call 611 to order and they politley tell me that it would be 7-14 days due to me ordering on the second day of preorders, which im fine with i would have waited a week extra to not go through the hassle.

I recieved the exact same email that you did on monday and still cannot check my order status.

i called to cancel my preorder and they tell me the only way to upgrade in store is to have a manager overide the upgrade IN STORE. they claim to not be able to do it over the phone.

i may try to call again tho and see if i get another rep

That is exactly the letter I got at 9:30 PM 10/7 and I have yet to get a shipping notice or been able to access my update on-line. In a web chat with ATT this morning, they said my order is "still processing"- whatever that means.

FRAK AT&T, I had the same issue. Had to call in since I wanted to KEEP MY MESSAGING PLNA.

While I DID get an email for the T&C's I never really got any confirmation. I have called now every day since monday as NOBODY at the regular numbers or online can provide any order info. It literally says, "we cannot process your request, come back after 24 hours"

today, I finally got through to customer care phone order, level III support. They said the following.

"you order is OEPN, but not process, we had some problems, sorry."

IT WILL NOT SHIP THIS WEEK, IT WILL NOT SHIP NEXT Week, it will most likely ship in 3-4 weeks.!

Nothing can be done to accelerate it at this time, it is now first come first servered, sorry.

So, I cancelled. I'll take my chances out in the real world or with sprint.

this is just stupid.
 
Initially preordered online at 4:11 AM PST on the 7th...Woke up the next morning and found out my old address was on file. Called customer service and cancelled my order. Placed the order by phone at around 1:00 PM PST. Agent stayed with me on the phone while I did the T&C. I received a summary email of our phone call because I specifically asked for one. Received shipping information today. Being shipped FEDEX and also received a tracking number.
 
Well ATT screwed up again.. my order is all messed up. Ordered a white 32gb from an ATT rep on the phone early on the 7th. Then ordered a white 16gb through apples website 5 hours later. Have all the tracking information on the 16, but nothing on the 32, nothing charged on my account, but the 16 is. They have no clue whats going on with my 32, but they said could take up to 28 days!! Im fuming right now.

One simple question? WHY DO YOU NEED TO DO A T/C W/ ATT AND NOT APPLE???

I just don't get it..... Although I have no one to blame but myself.. thats what I get for dealing with ATT.. ill NEVER EVER order though them. Almost makes me want to cancel my 4 iphone family plan through them.

This is just to follow up on my last post and to give you all a little hope! There's good news and bad news. The bad news is that, while I was promised to hear from a level-III support manager at AT&T before 9pm tonight as to why I can't track my order on the site or on the automated phone system, I never got a call. Don't worry. I wasn't holding my breath. BUT at a quarter past 9 I called in to follow up and before I could even channel by firm-but-courteous voice, the CSR told me my phone had shipped and gave me my FedEx tracking number. Sure enough, I was able to track my phone, a 32GB white 4S, to Fort Worth, TX and it's still scheduled for delivery here in Connecticut tomorrow by 3pm.

So if you've been in the same position as I've been in, i.e., unable to access your order status when you try to log in to AT&T's order status system, it's not necessarily a sign that your order is lost or delayed. Just for the record, AT&T's order status system still can't find my order. But with the info tracked on the FedEx site, I feel sure the phone is on it's way!

I ordered over the phone on 10/7, received the T&C email on 10/10 and received the confirmation email on 10/11 said my iphone will be shipped in 21-28 days. My online status shows order date is 10/11 not 10/7. So upset. But I just received a shipping email from ATT today at 7 pm est that my order has been shipped out and I would receive it tomorrow. Big surprise!

Finally got through to ATT on chat last night around 10 PM and still no satisfaction- "still processing and will be shipped when there is more supply", but happily woke this morning to an email that it has been shipped next day air by UPS. No tracking info yet, but hopefully it will at least be here by Monday if not today.
