I'd probably prefer the black, but the silver does look really good in person IMO - much better than the pictures.

I just bought an Anti-glare 15" mbp. I have alreday had the glossy 15" mbp. Final result: Glossy (black bezel) looks better. Anti-glare (silver) works better. I cannot deal with the glare on the glossy screen, I couldn't focus, I couldn't play a game without second guessing what I was seeing, it just sucks. Besides that, the glass on the top of the glossy screen makes it heavier and when tilted to a certain angle(90 degrees or less), the lid just closes.Anti-glare is the ONLY option for me from now on.

So just for looks: black bezel

some of us discussed this here late last night..

For those that want matte but would miss the black bezel.. all it takes is a little tape and some craft skills to make the silver bezel black again.. or any color you desire for that matter. Now you have no excuses to not get anti-glare

i say bring back the silver bezel with silver keys!
I second that idea

The silver looks terrible when the thing is open and being used. The keyboard and back hinge come together great with the black border, looks terrible with the silver.

black - which is why i got the glossy. Something about the silver and black keys makes it out of place... plus I like how the colors pop more.

I prefer the silver bezel (why call it silver and not...aluminium?)

anyway, you should have made a poll. ;)

I prefer silver, partly because I like to be different (which kind of sucks when I want OS X which has limited choice in hardware design). However, I like how the glass prevents dust from going down the edges of the screen, something which irritates me about my other laptop, so glossy it is!

Black bezel to make the keys match. If you're going to have a silver bezel make the keys match like the previous generation MacBook Pro's otherwise they will look out of place.

Uh, the Titanium Powerbook would like a word with you ;)
Black keys, silver bezel, still looking awesome.

I prefer the silver bezel. I was delighted when the matte screens came with them.

I also preferred the silver keyboard (not aesthetically, because I find it more comfortable to type on)

totally agree

I do prefer the unibody casing to the older version (with the silver keyboard) though.

Either. They both look good, plus I buy my laptops to use as computers not a fashion statement. It kind of makes me laugh anyway. Steve Jobs tried to tell the world they didn't want matte displays anymore, when he switched them over to the all glass "mirror". Well the pro developers stopped buying macs because you can't work in front of a mirror for eight to ten hours. Finally Steve caved into the pressure and gave back the matte screens. That's why you are seeing increased sales.

The reason I don't like the silver bezel is because, like last generations, it ends the display glass at a point and extends out. To me it looks kind of "old"..

The black bezel on the other hand is a perfect continuity of glass, all the way through the corner. As Johnny Ive would say, "its just glass, and then no glass". Sexy as hell ! :D Also, the colors on a glossy display are just mindblowing.
