Just like how the vertical camera bump let people know owners had an iPhone X, a large part of having three cameras is so that people know it’s a Pro model even with a case on it.

I suppose a telephoto lens is useful to have on hand for those occasional zoom shots.
Let who know you have a Pro? Is this a vanity thing or am I just not getting it?

Or would you say you regret not simply staying with the iPhone 11 Pro?

In some ways the 12 could be considered a downgrade from the 11 pro.

No, it was a good phone had it for 13 months, but i like the new shape, bigger screen for similar size, lighter, got the all black didn't like SG.
Better modem alone was worth it.

Only loss is telephoto lense and better battery, although i still get good battery with my 12. If i really want to i can get pro or pro max now, just phones lol.

Yikes. Work on your reading comprehension and civility.
ok, so your idea of peasantville is Bali lol, up until covid they were some of the happiest people on earth with not much at all.

Is $200 off new price a big enough discount for a 2 day old 12 pro? Bonus $65 case and screen protector.
Before you ask it’s not stolen etc. seller wants a mini it’s too big.

I am thinking more like $3-400 Off.

Tell him his dreaming, knock off another $100-$150

Better off going brand new, if it’s only $200 off.

Tell him he can keep the screen protector. 🤮

I wouldn’t sell a 2 day old 12 Pro and lose $3-400. I’d be returning it for a full refund lol. If it was older, I still think you’d get a higher price.

Do you not have consumer statutory rights with purchases there then?
Not with the telcos, once you purchase the phone, you’re in no mans land, unless their is a fault, you ain’t getting a refund.

That’s why it’s only the apple store for me.

I guess we are quite lucky here then as retailers all have to abide by the same rules. I only buy from Apple if the price is the same elsewhere. Never bought an iPhone through Apple though as the prices for contracts just aren’t competitive sadly.

Yeah been trying for $1300, some people don’t like taking a loss though. I can claim back the gst anyway so needs to be more like $3-400 off.

For you? Didn’t you buy a iPhone 12 Pro on launch day?

$1300 is a good bu,y basically the same price as a new iPhone 12, if you can’t get it for $1300, better off buying a brand new iPhone 12 or 12 pro.

$200 off ain’t worth the headaches on used phones.

No reason to regret IMO. I own a 12pro and from my personal point of view it's the worst iPhone i ever owned (starting with an iPhone 4 and comming from the iPhone XR now). The screen has green tint and the the battery drains 2 percent per hour in standby (5G off).
There is nothing "pro" in this, it is only more expensive.

Here we go again lol.

Green tint will be fixed in a future software update, battery doesn’t sound normal, might have a lemon take it back to apple for a replacement.

family member has the 12 pro, said it’s the best battery life his had on a phone so far.

Help is on the way 😁

I already exchanged it once. The replacement is similar to the original one.
Battery drain may be due to bugs in the modem firmware as it does not occur in flight mode (which is no real option for me).
When talking about green tint, i do not mean the green glow of black or dark grey areas, which has been reported by some users.
The display in general has a light blue/green tint, wich increases with a small deviation from the optimal viewing angle.
The problem seems to come from the anti-reflective layer, which has a slight greenish shimmer under light with the display switched off.
So i guess, there will not be any software solution for that. The display of my old XR is much better regarding colors and viewing angle.

Status symbols amongst lower earners and non western cultures I’m betting.
It’s more or less so people can show off that they’re using the latest and greatest iPhone, even with a case.

I’ve heard of some arguments being made for the Ultrawide lens, but I honestly find it to be a gimmick.

Main reason for me returning the 12 and getting the 12 pro max, the screen was to damn small for me on the 12, if apple made a iPhone 12 with a 6.7”-7” screen I’d be all over it in a heart beat.
