I have a Mintcase sleeve for my 13" rMBP. Very nice and allows some protection so that I can stuff it in my briefcase or backpack as required.

I used to have a case on it when I first got my laptop, but a few weeks in, I took it off (after having much difficulty doing so), so now I happily show off my rMBP naked. It's beautiful!

Case, skin, messenger bag. I use my rMBP for my business and school. I also ride a motorcycle when the weather isn't crap so it's constantly in and out of the bag that has other things in it and it's not a computer that just sits at home. In fact, it's at work with me sitting on my desk right now. From here it will go to class, then home where I'll edit some photos for a shoot I did, back out for another class, then home for more editing or homework. I'm not going to risk it getting scratched to hell and depleting the value because of it getting messed up.

After having serious trouble with my last MacBook Pro case (spec brand) in that it was actually doing more harm than good,I now happily use my new MacBook Air with an incase sleeve only and enjoy it naked as it is intended to be #

A clear Speck case for me. Should help down the road when it comes time to resell.

This...and I carry my 2012 rMBP with me everyday in the backpack and messenger bag.
