I "sold" our 2 iPhone 4 to the young people that live in our house in exchange for additional domestic labor. I probably should have just sold them online and used the money to hire a maid :)

Sold my Galaxy S3 for $510 and headed back to iPhone...Ive had every iPhone and switched to the SG3 in july and liked it but it was laggy, freeze issues, and not smooth. So back to iPhone but I can say I liked the screen size and it didn't feel huge but now back to ol' iCult  Figured since I have every other apple product mac book pro, apple tv, time capsule, new iPad I might as well complete the ecosystem and switch back :D

Sold iPhone 4 32GB GSM Black for $250 cash to a friend, no fees :D. I thought i did pretty good. Only paid about $150 for my 32GB iPhone 5.

Feel ya buddy.. Sold my iphone 4 about 2 weeks ago and using my 10 year old Nokia flip phone in the mean time.. Getting that micro sim to fit in that huge sim spot was a biatch and I feel like I Zack Morris using it

lol Save by the bell...good times.

£270 odd from Envirofone for my 16GB 4s. Placed the order on pre-order day and will post it off to them tomorrow or so as it doesn't need to be with them until 27th.

I did exactly the same, but got £300.10 for a 32gb white iphone 4s.

Considering the ebay fees, it seems a good price.

sold 16gb black att unlocked i4 for 260 craigslist two weeks ago...

holding out for a better deal than 350 for 16gb white 4S that is still under warranty...

can't get an iphone 5 now anyway...

Sold my iP4 16GB via another forum for £220 last week (I queued and bought my iP5 on launch day before selling).

Also sold my free upgrade from T-Mobile last week (they said no cheap iP5 upgrades until next year) for £320.

So my iP5 actually cost me nothing, I made a £11 profit on the deals :D.

Sold my 32g 4 for $300 on Craigslist a couple weeks before the announcement. Using a 3GS with a broken screen still waiting for my 5 to get shipped.

Sold my 16GB White iPhone 4 which had a bit of dirt under the home button and a small nick in the back for £250 on eBay, Came out with around £220 after fees.

I have kept every single iPhone I have bought to date. Collection :D (will possibly sell later)

I sold my used Verizon iPhone 4 16g on eBay for $260 two weeks before it was officially announced. Prolly could have gotten more if I had an auction but I went with the buy it now. After eBay and pay pal fees and the dreaded upgrade fee, I came out even...

Thanks to Craigslist I finalized a sell for my white iPhone 4 8gb right before I left work on Friday to get my 5. Which was good because after getting my 5 I had 1/8 of a tank of gas left and $7 to my name!!! But I went to get my 5 first because it was release day and the place was an hour away and only had 8 left!!! Thank god the buyer didn't flake on me or else I would have been screwed!!! I got $220 for my 4. Included an Otterbox Defender that the phone had never left so it was brand new condition, the factory box, the headphones, charger cube and sync cable :)

I just used Gazelle and was done with it.

I was seeing phones like mine go for $350-400 on eBay, but you have to factor in the time wasted on the hassle of eBay/Paypal, and the total of 12% commission fees, and I just decided to go the easier route.

I got my check in like less than two weeks from the day I shipped the phone.

Very pleased with their service!

I sold my iPhone 4 (32 gb) to Amazon.com, 5 days before the release of iPhone 5. BUT, I didn't do my homework and found out AFTER I submitted my phone and was credited $300, that Amazon.com does NOT sell the iPhone. Can't afford to get the iPhone now, so I'm borrowing my friends DroidX...and I'm miserable!!

i have a question, if you sell your iPhone before you get the new one, what happens to your coverage plan? i'm on AT&T and i don't want to mess up my plan. 2GB data + 200txt (both no longer available).
the data plan is dependent on an iPhone.
am i safe as long as i activate the new iPhone in a few days, or will i lose my plan once my sold iPhone is activated on another person's plan?

Nothing happens to your plan. Just deactivate your phone and have them activate a backup phone (unless the other phone also matches your phone's SIM, and then you should just swap them).

That's how easy it should be, but I know it can be finicky sometimes. I know for sure that your data plan is not attached to your phone.
