For performance you really can't group the 4 and 4S together. Heck the 4S, 5 and 5S could even be lumped together. The 4 is a clear step behind, kind of like the iPad 1 compared to the rest of them. It's a shame because it ran so perfectly smooth on iOS 4.

My iphone 4S is still working fine.. But in the next two months, I will be getting th 6 and this 4s 64gb will just be my Ipod touch!

I still have the 4s and am fine with it as well, however I will be upgrading once the 6 is released. My iPhone is actually my oldest main Apple device.

I have a 4S. Works fine, but I'll be upgrading. My sister, on the other hand, has no interest in upgrading from her 4.

I know a couple of people with the 4 and are completely happy with it.

Wife and I just upgraded from the 4S to the 5S last week, while we could still get good money on a trade-in for the 4S. Both phones still worked quite well and ran iOS7 fine (mine even with a jailbreak). Her battery was clearly in rapid decline, however. She'd leave for work at 100% and a couple of standby hours later it would be down to 80% or worse. 7.1.2 helped but there was still an issue.

I'm loving the 5S but the 4S was a great phone.

I have the 4.

I regret getting it everyday.

I did an insurance claim yesterday so I should be getting a new one my Monday. (Not sure what I'm getting because the 16GB 4 & 4S have been discontinued almost a year)

iPhone 4 is the best phone I've ever had. It was ahead of its time back then. After that every iPhone just seems like a minor update to me.

It was the fact that I wasn't educated on release cycles, then proceeded to buy a 2 year old phone.

That's what I hate about it. I bought it May of 2012.
Thinking about it, I could've waited those couple of months, because I have waited 2 years already to get a new phone. (getting a new one this year)

I got an iPhone 4 about a month before the 4S came out. Software wise my phone still works well.

Most of the buttons no longer work. I will be getting the next iPhone in about a month or two.

I retired my 4 to get a 5S last February. If I had had a 4S I would've stuck it out another half year, but it was just too slow for my daily use.

As weird as it might sound, I've actually been thinking of selling my 5s, skipping the 6, and sticking with a brand new 4s (albeit an out-of-warranty replacement from Apple)!

I have a 4 that I held onto when I upgraded to the 5S. I now use it as a "Pay as you Go" phone. Basically emergencies, and if I'm going someplace where I know my phone is prone to getting damaged or wet.

I absolutely hate it because it's so underpowered with the latest OS on it. Planned obsolescence. It was fine with iOS6...

My mum still uses her iPhone 4 (4 years old). I don't think she will get rid of it until it blows up.

I still use a 4S that I got in January 2012. It was my first iPhone and before that I went through a few Android phones, almost changing every year because they were so frustrating to use back then (lots of lag). The 4S has done everything I've asked of it since I got it, which means I haven't felt the need to upgrade. A bigger screen and LTE would be nice, though, so I'm looking forward to the 6's launch, trying it out in person, and reading some good reviews.

I just got a 4 to use as my roaming sim for relatives overseas to text me cheaply. And I ups go crazy if this was my daily phone. Currently use an iphone 5s

I bought my 4s the week the 5 was released. Got a good discount and I didn't have to upgrade all my dock accessories to lightning.

Still love it. Perfect size/weight/feel. Use it mostly for calls, texts, email and music in the car. Can see myself keeping it another year.

3 year old 4S, and very happy with it. It won't be replaced until I accidently drop it into a the mouth of a dragon.

Girlfriend has a 4, and she would like to upgrade to a 4S, just for the speed increase, which is quite noticeable.

Apart from NFC (Hopefully, we'll see tomorrow), the newer iPhones doesn't really bring me anything interesting. TouchID a little bit prehaps.

My mother in law has a 4 and loves it. She's even eligible to upgrade, but shes' in no rush. I've offered her my 5S in exchange for upgrading to the 6.

my co worker got "that iphone deal" at AT&T. Turned out to be the free iPhone 4 (after 2 year agreement). I assume he got it when the 5 came out.

Still works great for him and looks brand new. He's 55 years old and has never installed one app. I personally had to walk him through how to update the iOS system a couple of times, but other than that, he sticks to the phone.app and sometimes the calculator.app.

I had an iPhone 4S, and had installed iOS 7 on it, and it was totally fine for my use.

I did upgrade to a 5S, because I'm a techie and want the latest bells & whistles.

However I chime in this thread, because I will say that the 4S form-factor was awesome, and I remember how comfortable it was in my hands to type on.

The size of the 5/5S made it feel a bit more awkward, and was more of a stretch that took some getting used to, for my hands.

Just my 1 cent, not even worth 2 cents! lol

dropped my 4, issues now

My refurbished 4 was doing great til I dropped it. Yes, Otterbox, but the trauma causes the sound on my end to go off sporatically. Waiting. May jump to 5c or 6 when it comes out.

My wife uses a 4S, she couldn't be happier. I use a 5. Same for me. No need to update / upgrade anything. I use it as long as it works. My first iPhone 3G is still in use by my uncle. It is from 2008. I did send it to Apple for a battery replacement. It did come back as a 3GS. He is still totally happy with it.

I absolutely love my 4S. When I bought it at launch, my two main criteria were quality and ergonomics.
I had previously tried a similar sized Android (can't remember the brand) for a week and was annoyed to find that the quality was subpar next to the gigantic androids. The 4s allowed me to have a phone in my preferred size without sacrifices to quality.
I'm interested in some of the specs for the iphone 6--LTE, NFC, better camera, speed, etc would all be nice--but the monster size will be a likely deal breaker for me.

Waiting to see how well iOS8 runs before deciding if I want to pick up a 5S. But I have a feeling that only the 16GB model will be available. No thank you.
