Another movie subscription service. I am not familiar with its terms and pricing, but many in the MP forums we’re talking about it.

Ok thanks! Just checked it out. It only goes up to 3 movies a month, which I feel like isn’t much.

I guess it depends on where you live. I was reading posts by people in some cities (NYC and LA I believe) saying that sometime a ticket goes for $30 or more!
I believe that. i live in jersey by NYC and you can still get cheaper seats during the week, in the morning, older movies, stuff like that.

In NYC, you can see Mission Imp in 3D tonight for $24 or $20 for regular.

In Jersey, its only $15 for a regular showing tonight.

Yeah that’s about what it is here in Ga. that’s why I don’t see some of the theater passes as good deals. Has MoviePass just upped their monthly sub to $20, I would have been good.

People were complaining MoviePass was not letting them cancel. That might be your issue.
no, I managed to cancel the first time , movie pass "renewed" it as they did plenty of people

MoviePass is opting some users into its new plan even after they cancel

Please note: if you had previously requested cancellation prior to opting-in, your opt-in to the new plan will take priority and your account will not be cancelled,” reads an email sent from MoviePass yesterday to user Cristen Brinkerhoff, who shared the automated message with The Verge. Brinkerhoff, who’s been a MoviePass subscriber since November 2017, canceled her plan on July 31st after MoviePass revealed its plan to raise prices and limit access to popular new movies.
third time cancelling was a charm

I got a promotional email from MoviePass today. It began
Code:
Hi *|FNAME|*,
Given that their service is disappointing so many people, you'd think they'd try a little harder to get their email right.

I had Movie Pass for about a year and thought it was really great UNTIL they limited the shows I could see to about 2 a day. Crappy movies that I wouldn't see if they were completely free.

About a month ago I signed up for the AMC deal ($20 a month) for 3 movies a week. So far it's been great. I can reserve my seat from home, bypass the ticket counter, show my pass on my phone to the ticket collector and I'm good to go. Just bypassing the ticket sales counter is worth it to me.

Not sure, but I think you have to signup for 3 months, after which you can cancel at anytime. If you only do 3 movies a month, it saves about 10 bucks. Unless you're a animated/car crash movie fan, there aren't that many to see anyway.

Moviepass has now dropped e-ticketing for over 80% of the theaters for which e-ticketing was previously supported, including the theater I usually go to. Another inconvenience.

I had a good run with them in the early going, but now I've dropped the service.
