Really disappointed that I won't be getting the optical image stabilization, but a few better camera photos aren't worth having a phone I hate all the time otherwise. I have a DSLR to take quality photos if I need to.

I'll try both and see how they feel before deciding. It's just too much of a jump from the 5s to really know how it'll feel without actually trying it.

Ok, now that made me confused on what I want.. haha.
I was set on getting the 4.7 .. it's a little bigger than my current phone (lumia 920) ... so yay.

But then printing off the pdf...the 5.5 is BARELY wider than my current phone..though it is longer. The 4.7 is narrower than my current phone..so ... now I really don't know.

Luckily, I'm not looking to get my phone right at release, so I can wait for some reviews to come in before I take the plunge in a few months :)

I think alot of people are going to underestimate the adjustment of going from a 4" device to a 5.5" device. It's not something you do on a whim just because a few specs are better. You do it because that's the size you want. It's a niche market for a reason. I would implore folks to check it out in-store first before wasting money on restocking fees.

I'm not entirely sure it's a niche market anymore. The S5 and other flagship phones are encroaching 5.2/5.3" as the 'small' models with the phablets pushing 6"+. So it could be argued that the iPhone Plus is more of the direct competition not only for the Galaxy Notes of the world but S5s and HTC Ones as well.

TLDR - It's big, but it's not biiiig.

Same here, when I printed out the PDF, the cutout feels fine on my hands besides it being a little longer, but my thumbs are still able to reach each part of the cut out screen lol...

I actually switched the other way.

I was leaning towards 5.5", but really the only benefit aside from the screen size is the camera. And since the Watch requires the iPhone, there's no way in hell I'm running with a oversized phablet in my pocket.

Maybe. Kinda. I think so. Not sure.

Honestly, I am tempted but want to play around with it first and get a feel for it. Its is very tempting so I guess I may be messing up your poll but I am leaning towards it.

I wish we could use them in store but with the way these launches go either get it early or wait a month.

I've actually been flip-flopping after seeing it.
I thought I wanted the 4.7", but now I don't know what I want.

Don't buy the 5.5 unless you already wanted a bigger phone before the announcement. I'm not saying you can't be swayed, but people who want phones that big usually go into it knowing what they are dealing with. It will be massive and unless you're totally into that, it's likely not worth it because I can sense buyer's remorse for people who are on the bubble about it.

The battery life, resolution, and camera stabilization tools are very nice, but remember that you're dealing with almost an entirely new product line for a phone that much bigger. Research and hold a lot of other phones that size before you purchase that.

Is the difference in ppi going to be noticeable?

Probably not ... especially when the apps are not being scaled. If the apps are being scaled, then they will be a little less fuzzy with a higher resolution display.

Get the 5.5 inch 64gb. I switched just because of the extra battery juice, oh and its ability to run apps like the ipad, and optical image stabilization

Also it can replace a small tablet.

Just did a cutout (a receipt is the perfect width) and held it up to my head. It's huge!

I'm 6 foot and I don't know how someone could use the 5.5 with one hand. I want it because of the extra features, but I don't know if it's too big or not.

My buddy did the same thing and changed his mind from 5.5 to 4.7.

I just played with the Note 3 which has similar size specs. It is a complete monstrosity in terms of sheer size. I will be going with the 4.7.

In the past year, I've gone from an iPhone 5 (4") to a Moto X (4.7") to a OnePlus One (5.5"). I got used to the bigger phone pretty quickly and the extra screen area and battery life on the OPO mean I wouldn't want to go back to a smaller screen.

It's not a problem for me to use one handed, apart from the far left top corner which requires a slight shift and I have small hands.

I wouldn't be too quick to discount the 6 plus before you try it.

Good decision! 5.5" seems like the perfect size!

Definitely going to take getting used to, but after using the Note 3 in the store I went back to look the iPhones...and I thought the 5S was a 4. (The 5S' 4 inch screen looked tiny)

After 5 minutes! So I'm sure it'll take a few days to get "used" to, but I'm sure anything smaller than 5.5 will seem too small.

Guess with this move Apple gives everyone what they want: Galaxy / Note lovers gets a HUGHE phone, Iphone lovers get a slightly bigger phone. I am set so far for the 4.7 since the Plus size is too big to be practical IMHO, unless you want to use it as an Ipad Mini replacement and not so much as a phone.

Printed ur pdf and omg...I was going for the 6+ but its a ****ing monster!!!
Way to big for me personally...sticking with 4.7 (which i also find to be big)
