Who Uses Newstand anyway?

I for one do not use it and would love the ability to hide it or get rid of it, wondering who else feels this way?

If the consequences weren't so high, I'd take a hammer to it.

I don't use it either. I just put the icon on the last page of my display.

I use it for a couple subscriptions, most of all Marco Arment's The Magazine (best magazine around for tech-minded people btw).
I haven't subscribed to a lot of things, mainly out of principle. I want the iOS only version, not paper + iOS, but I find that most publications charge you exactly the same amount for iOS only subscription as they do for paper + iOS subscription. That's just not acceptable, ripping people off like that. So I only subscribe to magazines that offer a discount for iOS subscriptions, to counter the substantial less operating costs of not providing printing, paper + delivery.

Not sure if it was already mentioned but you can download "StifleStand" by Filippo Bigarella and with 1 click it will hide NewsStand in a folder which you can rename. Might be only compatible with a Mac though not sure...

I use it, but only on Ipad. Iphone screen just too small to enjoy.

Put it in a folder when iOS4 came out and haven't touched it since.
