Wow what all do you people put on your phones? I have 500 songs on my iPhone along with 90+ apps. And before I lost nearly all my pictures, I had around 200 pictures.

I've never been below 20GB...

I bought the 16gb one and yes i feel regret for not getting the 32gb one. It doesn't have enough space for me to record video.

I bought a 32GB and I only have 3 GB left. I have a large music collection. If they had a 64GB I would have bought it.

I got a 16gb a don't regret it. I don't listen to that much music when I'm on the go so I just sync what I need before I go. I've only used half the space, so for me the 16gb is fine.

Some people like to carry a lot of variety with them at all times...like me :)

Yeah I'm sure I wouldn't miss a good deal of it if it was gone, but you never know when you're going to need that one specific song! lol

I just use YouTube for that. Kinda ghetto, but whatever. Most of the time the song craving passes after I hear it once or I load it in when I get home.

2GB left on my 16GB. Of course, if I had enough cash to get a 32GB I would've, but as it is I could only stretch to 16. It's enough for now.

If I get the iP5 it may have to be 32.

Downloading Ab Aeterno (Lost episode) and the HD version is 1.63GB. Even the non-HD still takes in alot of space at half that. A 128 is not enough for all the seasons. Videos is killer. For 20-40 min video entertainment, TV shows can kill a over gig with only 1-2 episodes. Now that the resolution is higher for photos and games, that will get bigger too.

For anyone having a hard time filling up space, start downloading your favorite movies in HD now. The space will be gone fast.

Exactly. I'm going on a roadtrip later this year and it'll be a bitch when I want to have a certain song. If it weren't for the fact that iOS4 is so slow on my 3G, I would've waited for 64 GB.

If you even think about putting 720p movies on your iPhone, or, god forbid, TV Shows, you will realize that the 32GB will be used up very quickly. One season of standard definition Dexter (12 episodes, 50-60 mins each) takes up about 9 GB. Now, imagine 720p.

So I'm guessing everyones usage is taken up by videos such as movies or tv shows?

Maybe thats why I've always had more then enough space. I hate watching movies on my iPhone.

I ordered the 16GB and hope I don't regret it. But I don't need to keep more than a handful of music on it (I have a 160GB iPod Classic that has everything on it). I'll probably have about 250 songs, 2-3 movies at a time, whatever apps I have, and try to keep the rest free for video and music. I think with the 16GB I'll just have to keep better tabs on what's on it, and take off stuff I'm not using.

One solution is to get a drop box account and upload hd movies, music, videos and access them from there. I put a hd video up the other day and it looks awesome streaming although I think 3G wouldn't work.

The music player is responsive also and loads quick so this is a good way to extend what you can have on your phone. :)

I got the 16gb which is 8gb more than my 3g phone. I use my 120gb Ipod to keep all my music (95gb). No iphone available to handle that. I will just record video and remove to PC. Have to figure out how to record to DVD/BluRay now.

So 16gb is fine for me.

I have a 30gb Ipod 5g that I keep all my music on. I try to keep about 4g of music, 4gb of apps, and then the rest for everything else. I use airvideo for watching videos.

When I had my 16GB 3G, I filled it up to the brim. So I got a 32GB 3GS and had plenty of space to play with. I don't think I'll ever get anything less than 32GB. My iPhone 4 is a 32GB but now I'm hoping Apple comes out with a 64GB solution next year.

My iPod history

4gig nano first gen- totally sucked when I got into podcasts

16 gig iPod touch first gen- loved that it could hold most of my collection + podcasts

16 gig iPhone 3G. My first iPhone. My music collection had grown past my device. Had to pick and choose the music I wanted to carry

32gig iPhone 3GS. Could almost hold my entire collection. Would leave just shy of 2gigs free for extra random storage and podcast fluctuation.

32gig iPhone 4. Really wishing for 64gig here. With the much improved cameras I find that I am having to trim more than i did with the 3GS so I have room to take 720p video. Leaving over 7 gigs free to play with. Still need to load my picture collection

It does help that pandora and other music services are running in the
background. I can get away with carrying the essential music, all podcasts.

I sorta grew out of keeping my phone full of music so could always have my digital jukebox everywhere I go. I let pandora do that for me and I love it.
