I had a 8 gig 3G and that was maxed out, I then bought a 16gig iPhone 4 and after having it for a week I started to thinks that maybe a 32gig one would have been a better move.

So I took advantage of the people willing to pay over the odds for an iPhone 4 on ebay and now have just placed an order for a iPhone 4 32gig and a dock.....all for the price of a 16gig iPhone 4.

The only downside is that I now have to wait till August the 25th for delivery and going back to my 8gig iPhone 3G is so slllllooooowwww :p

32Gig and happy I purchased it. Plus, equally happy I purchased the 3GS, 32 gig within the 30 day window of the 4 coming out and was able to keep my unlimited data when I returned the 3GS for the iPhone 4.

I was slotted for a 16GB, and then realized that for $100 you can double the size and have double the fun, why not. If your the type of person who thinks "It's just a phone" then 16GB is probably fine. If you use the IP4 as an entertainment device, the 32GB is your only bet.

Alright. I think you all talked me into the 32gb. I have an 8gb 3G that has been okay for the 2 years I've had it. I have started getting larger apps and I got tired of having to dump playlists that I might not have been using but I didn't want to take them off either. Add the bigger camera, HD video and constant travel, I have to say the 32gb may be really necessary just to make sure I don't run out of room.

I have a 16GB and it's more than enough for me. I carry some music, but not more than 20 or so albums. On my 3GS and 3G (both 16GB also) I don't think I ever ended up using more than 50% of the drive. I also don't usually have more than 3-4 pages of apps.

Not really into playing games or watching movies on the iPhone. Do love the device for its phone/email/text capabilities though.

i have so much stuff on it i dont need, but im runnning out of space, last time i buy a 16gb, iphone 5 will be 32 for me.

have a feeling we will be seeing a 32gb soon enough

Yeah....I had a 16gb pre-ordered from BB, immediately regretted it, and chose to stand in line overnight to get a 32.......and now I absolutely wish they had a 64.....

I know this isn't exactly on point, but I sure wish I had been able to BUY an iPhone with a greater capacity than what is currently offered.
I bought a 32G and would LOVE a 64G! One device while traveling which would make airplane rides and miserable layovers in godforsaken airports a LOT more fun!:)

I have the 32GB and I wish I had bought the 16GB, I have never used more than about 4GB of space on any if the iPhones I have owned so far and the i4 is no exception, I've used about 2GB of my 32GB and I don't plan on putting anything else on it, should have just gone for the 16GB and saved my self £100 :(

I got the 32gb and am very happy with it so far. Like many, I was expecting a 64gb version and probably would have gotten it, but I don't think I would have needed it. I have about 2000 songs, 20 apps and about 700 pictures and it is only half full. I can't see myself downloading a movie on it and only very rarely recording video.

Previously I had an 80gb iPod and only used about 10gb of it. Then I upgraded to a 16gb iPod Touch when I got it for about $70 with the back to school deal. However in about 2 years time, I filled that up very quickly which is one of the reasons I was holding out for a new iPhone.

My guess is that the iPhone 5 will see the jump to 64gb next summer but I doubt I'll need that much space by then.

Up to that dangerous threshold where filesystem performance will start sucking on my 32GB 3G. On UNIX operating systems, especially BSD, if you get near 85-90%, filesystem performance degrades significantly.

I would love a 64 GB model, but I wonder if Samsung can put enough flash in at a density to swing this. Probably the iPhone 5.

So why did you then?

Now I have iPad 16GB + iPhone 3G 16GB and already ordered iPhone 4 Black 16GB. This capacity for all devices is enought, 6GBs of music, 1GB for stuff like photos etc... (maybe 2) and than the rest for apps, and still on my iP3G have 6GB free and on iPad 4GB free.

So why did you then?

Been asking my self that since I bought it lol, I think it's down to the fact that I hadn't been to sleep for 2 days and had to queue for 7 hours to get it, by the time I got into the store I had no idea what I was doing, it was like being drunk lol so when the woman asked what size I wanted I just said 32GB :p

To be honest, I think 32Gb is more than I needed as, since getting an iPad, i don't even both putting movies/videos on the iPhone so after about 4Gb of music and about the same in apps, the rest is mostly free space.
