ipad 3 < v6 oops

Uh oh I did not upgrade from 5.1.1 on 'ipad 3'
But indeed,
I shall maintain it as long as I can
but I should have paid attention to doing update to 6.0.2 or whatever it WAS up to before it became not an upgrade option. (Just for the youtube app maybe? That was a dumb reason on my part!)

I look forward to iOS evolution. The iPad is very good and has enabled much work on stables system for 15 months straight every day on minimum 6-8 hours

I'm still on 1st gen iPad. They'll have to pry iOS 6 from my soul!

I'd consider getting a 1st gen mini when the 2nd gen comes out if it isn't retina, or ends up suffering so badly in weight and battery life. iOS 6 would just be an extra reason to.

I can't help but feel iOS 7 was made from scratch specifically for the phone. 3x3 folder grid on 9.7" screen? That's genuinely comical. :D

I don't need to upgrade just because it's "recommended" to be on the latest, whatever that may be. iOS 7 still has oodles of flaws, some security problems, bugs, crashes, etc.

If stability, speed, and battery life are the units of measurement, iOS 6 is holding its podium position as of yet.

Uh, 1st gen iPads don't even run iOS 6.

Really, it's on iOS 5?

Funny, you'd think that all that "fragmentation" I keep hearing about would cause me loads of problems, especially on its relic hardware. Yet, everything runs quite well (a little lag here and there), no crashing.

Of course it won't happen, I'm just wondering if anyone was in the same situation as me. Would love getting an iPad 5 but iOS 7? It's a shame. Too slow, too childish, too buggy? way too ugly...

And please, don't tell me how much you love iOS 7, we're here to speak ill of iOS 7.

That's how I felt when I had it on my 4s. Now that I have a 5s I don't really mind it at all. Although the music app still sucks and is much less intuitive than than iOS 6's music app. Oh well.

I just learn to deal with it with all of system updates over the years some good some bad. iOS 7 comes with lots of nice features which my favorite is the call blocking.

I think iOS 6 is much better fit for the iPad. I have the 4 and i still have not upgraded and have no urge to. iOS 6 looks classy and sophisticated on the iPad whereas iOS 7 makes it look cheap

Except for the blinding white interface in the middle of the night, I am OK with iOS7 on an iPad. On my iPhone however, PLEASE give me back iOS6!!!

I like iOS 7. With that said, I went over to parents today and helped them out with their iPad which is still on 6.1.3 and it's so much smoother and faster. It's maybe the first time in a long time that I've preferred an older version of software.

to the people who say they are done with Apple because of iOS7, just remember the alternatives are: Android, Windows and Blackberry.

Sorry, the choice is clear, iOS7 with a new iPad or iPhone 5/5s is gonna be way better than any of the other alternatives.

If I had to choose (I don't) between a Surface RT and an iPad5 running the "Fisher-Price My First Tablet" iOS7, I'd be hard pressed but would end up with the Surface RT.

btw, I own both a Surface RT on WinRT 8.1 RTM and an iPad4 running iOS 6.1.3.

iOS7 is perfect, childish is to be stubborn on everything new. Bugs will be fixed...

I'm getting an iPad 5. I'm just hoping the design team's produced a dark theme for the next iteration of iOS7.

Time to accept the new OS folks. Get used to it like everyone did with the skeuomorphism of previous Ios.
