Duff-Man says....For about 2 months beforehand I did not shave at all, get a haircut etc etc....then for Halloween I shaved one side of my face, got my hair neatly trimmed on one side... ... the half-beard freaked a few people out heheheh.....oh yeah!
Great minds think alike, Duff-Man. That trick is what I was describing here!

Don't celebrate Halloween, so no dressing up for me.

I do, however, want to see pictures of all the other MR's who's dressing up :D

Seeing pictures is better than dressing up myself. I don't have to go anywhere, don't have to deal with lesser beings (or more advanced in some cases) and I can stay in my basement loving my solitude all the more. I need to go out, I hope I can....but if not, my chair is sooooo damn comfortable :)

I'm definitely going to take pictures. You will be able to see my friends and their crazy costumes.

I'm not sure if y'all are familiar with Parsons, but it is one of the leading fashion schools in the USA (not why I'm there, though :p) and a couple of my friends are in fashion. I have high expectations for their costumes. Maybe they could help me tailor mine, I have no idea how I'm going to tailor it. I don't believe they sell skanky ninja costumes at stores, but I could be wrong ;). Maybe I'll get a ninja costume and put the scissors to it.

On Halloween I dress like everyone else does the other 364 days of the year ^.^ :p

Yeah, last year I went trick or treating un-costumed. People asked me what I was and I said "a high school student". Now that is scary ;).

Looking back though it was pretty lame.

Each year, we get a few kids at our door who some would say are too old to trick-or-treat, wear "costumes" that consist of cat ears or a pig nose, and would probably be embarrassed to be going door-to-door gathering candy if they didn't have their posse along for moral support.

But why do people complain about this? I don't mind oversized Halloweenists. They're having fun, and I avoid the danger of leftover candy!

Freshman year, I went as a highschool student, too. I kind of felt like a jerk, but my friends wanted to go.

Last year, I was Jesus, which was pretty fun. http://img69.exs.cx/img69/9676/oct30th_00.jpg

This year, I might be a centaur. It depends if I can build a wooden horse skeleton, that moves the back legs with my front legs, in three weeks.

Funny image, especially nice touches with the light and the subtitles. How in the world did you get that light above you and those subtitles to track along all night? ;)

I too like the inner child coming out. Older kids and adults should be able to trick-or-treat if they wanna.

I don't, though. I have 2-3 parties each year I'm expected to go to, so I need 2-3 costumes. At this point I have 3 good ideas, and this thread has given me a few more.

#1: black body and face paint all over, all black clothes (tight), black accessories, getting my groove on, and an iPod. :) iPod silhouette!
#2: black or navy mock turtleneck, a hat, shaved head, and a puppet. Possibly a small door drawn on the back of my head or glued on. I'm thinking of "Being John Malkovich." :D
#3: cardigan (layered), salt and pepper hair (or bad toupée), taking on and off my shoes and slippers. Mr. Rogers of course! Won't you be my neighbor?

I also thought of going as Stanford, since a group of girlfriends are going as SATC chicks. And one friend thought of going as Kathy Griffin, and I could have been Starr Jones.. but that would require a bodysuit, a lot of Dermablend, and of course drag makeup. (And I swore no more of that.) I also pondered a 3x white t-shirt, natty hair--maybe in cornrows, bling, and socks-and-sandals. I'd be pimpin' it K-Fed style! (Kevin Federline.)

Maybe I'll go as Steve Ballmer to this one geek party. Pit stains and all. DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS!!

I think, especially with idea #1, this might be one of the best years I've had for costumes. Last year I was a bodyguard for my friend who was Paris Hilton, and I was a bridesmaid for another party. My favorite costume of all time was what I wore the year I came out of the closet--I wore just regular clothes and wired/velcroed on a bunch of Ken dolls, G.I. Joes, and wrestler guys.. I was a "guy magnet." :D My gay twist on the "chick magnet."

That Jesus costume is awesome :). Gives me an idea... Skanky Jesus, anyone? :p

I don't shy from the taboo... I'll give it some though.

You may not shy from the taboo, but others may. I have a feeling that skanky jesus wouldn't be getting as much candy as other costumes, especially if they ask what you are and you respond as "I'm skanky jesus" :p

I'll be dressing up but not trick or treating, so I don't have to worry about not getting any candy. I'm not the biggest fan of candy anyways.

I wish I were creative and could come up with something I could be along with my kids. A friend's daughter once dressed up as a rabbit, and the dad was the magician who pulled her out of a hat.

Not sure what the 11 yr old girl's going to do. She's starting to get invites to parties. Daddy's tightening the leash!

The 6 year old boy is Darth Vader. He got the helmet with voice box a few months ago. That thing's kind of scary when you see it laying around the house. So we bought the cape and outfit from KMart. He's fired up...it's so fun!

I was a wee bit delirous yesterday. I had been up for 28 hours with no sleep whatsoever, so what do I do? I play dressup!

Y'all may know that my name is Emerson from the way I sign my posts ('_Emerson'), so it's only natural that my rapping alter-ego should be named Eminemerson. If I were to be Eminemerson for halloween it might look a little somethin' like this:

Those are the bad self-shot pictures. My friends took some really good shots from a distance. The vest is totally undone in the shots they took to make it slutty and extra-ghetto. I'll try to get those pictures from them later so I can post them here :).

I still like the Skanky Ninja idea better, though, but I don't like having to make a costume :p.

Halloween is a pagan holiday. Anyone celebrating it will be going to Hell real soon.
