i had ghe first ipad, and tried a load of cases, also have tried cases for my various iphones, i always end up not using them.
i got a mini, but so far no case :)

I prefer them a bit big and naked.

RAWR :ronwink:

I would love to keep my iPad mini naked, but my 2.5 yr old plays with it too. Too risky. Until I get a proper case, we've been watching him like a hawk while he's using it.

I hate the SmartCover, so no to that. I just want a TPU case that will cover and protect the back.

clear protection?

I don't really want to cover up this beautiful thing, moreover want Mini to be as handy as possible to just grab and use. So I've been looking for a full body clear skin that is not Zagg.

Zagg is quite good enough on my Kindle DX, but on my iPhone, it was more difficult to apply, there are fingerprints all over that won't go away, a lot of bubbles and peeling at the edges (despite combining with Apple's Bumper that overlaps the edges), and finally it has a nasty rubbery feel to it.

I did have a great screen protector for an iPod touch, but I can't remember the name of the maker for the life of me. All searches lead to Zagg. So far.

If anyone knows of of a clear skin that is not thick and rubbery as Zagg, please pass it on. I'll keep looking too, but it's sometimes hard to tell what it's really like from looking online.

Naked as a Jay Bird

That is until my back cover and screen protector arrive. Right now it's only naked when it's out of the sleeve I made for it. Which is anytime I'm not using it.

Mine's going to be naked when I'm using it and when I'm not I will put it in a sleeve. It's too pretty to cover up with a case!

BodyGuardz just got back to me with a nice note & said product is not thick and rubbery. They couldn't send a sample, but did send a 50% off code "to make my decision easier."

I had already ordered from Bestskinsever, so perhaps someone else might like to try the code:
JdEmswZ236: Case Sensitive Exp: 12-31-2013

Half off BodyGuardz full cover Mini skins is about the same as full price Bestskinsever ($15).

I keep a skin on the back and that is it for me.

When it is in my bag going to and from work I will be keeping it in a sleeve (once I find a good one)

Skinomi skins are only .99 on amazon right now. I have one on my 3ds and am very happy with it. I ordered on for my mini.

All iPads get the same treatment in my house. Best Skin Ever on the back and a Smartcover on the front when I venture out into the real world.

I'll likely get a cheap tpu case to use until BSE ships the new skins.

I use a Smart Cover and a sleeve case (When I actually get it...) Smart cover is pretty much to use as a stand for typing/watching videos. Sleeve case so that it is less of a target for theft plus keeping it from scratching on random things in my bag.

I ordered a Portenzo frameless mini case - hoping it protects the iPad without adding a lot of weight (that's why I didn't get one with a frame. Will post pics when I get it!

I put a DHARMA decal on the back. Its black on slate and actually looks pretty cool,at least to me. So it's not naked - more like just with a fig leaf. I figure the little bit the vinyl decal raises it up gives some amount of protection from scratches while laying flat. I've ordered an Ultimate Sleevecase for it from SFBags for some heavy duty protection.

Only had a Smart Cover for my iPad.

Will only use a Smart Cover for my Mini.

I hate the way cases feel on a tablet.

The black back scratches super easily

Just FYI - if you care about scratches on the back, be wary - mine scratched on day 1 from tossing it into my laptop bag with my (naked) macbook. Apple store genius in Boston said it was normal to scratch.

Um....yeah....obviously it scratched. Did you expect otherwise?

Pretty sure that aluminum to aluminum contact isn't the best way to go.
