Yup.. pretty sure it'll be unlocked. Really defeats the whole purpose of it if it was carrier-locked. I think apple.ca/ipad is just a quick copy from apple.com and doesn't have proper wording, hence the confusion.

I'm in Canada... thinking of getting a 3G model. Curious actually as to what the non-US prices will be.

I'm not too far from Buffalo, thinking of going to check it out next week.

Right now the price difference is $10 cheaper to buy in the US for an iPad 1, at least by looking at the Apple online stores.

I thought it was $20? Anyway saving $10 or $20 isn't worth paying tax on twice... unless you really need want an ipad2 asap.
