Saw both the U.S. and U.K. versions at a small bookstore in Shanghai today. I'm sure they're everywhere.
I've always bought the U.K. versions, since I lived in Canada. They're better. The U.S. versions look much more childish IMO.
Anyways, while the U.K. version didn't have a retail price on it, the U.S. version did. $34.99! I can get it for RMB218 (the U.K. version is only RMB208, prob because it's smaller), which is roughly $28.80. Weird how an imported book is cheaper here than retail in America were it was supposedly imported from?
Also, if I wait a bit, I can get a fake copy off a street vendor in a few days for a fraction of the price. 😀 I bought the Half Blood Prince like that. They're very good copies. In fact, I'm not even sure if it's fake, but for the price, it seems like it is.
