Dont b angry that im questioning those who have a perfectly good iphone 4 that just want the newest thing and use the very minor upgrade points to justify their purchase. Dont give me #%$@ about benchmarks and megapixels or storage space... like your current iphone 4 is slow/lacking storage/doesnt have an amazing camera. WEAK . Its none of the above.

Why do you get so worked up over how other people spend their money?

you know what, would you buy a new model car just because it has a bigger engine? or would you keep the EXACT SAME car you like and own aleady and not be bothered with spending the extra cash. "it looks the same" is an issue for many. No one with a 4s is going to be sitting there going "its so SO much better than the original, and it has much needed upgrades!"

the only people saying that are those who are fooling themselves. :)

...And if it LOOKED different you would be singing a different tune.

The phone was upgraded in basically every way it can be upgraded.. Some people like a more powerful phone.

1. im not really getting worked up its just such a ridiculous upgrade. a slightly better camera on my cell phone and a faster processor with a better benchmark so it can open my apps half a second faster? and some more storage space so I can store 20000 songs instead of 10,000. <---thats what is so great? I just fail to see why anyone with a ip4 would even think about upgrading.

2 The phone looks like it was upgraded in the cheapest, easiest manner possible. no creativity, no innovation, just standard speed/storage update. I don't call that creative when you already have a fast/mass storage device. problem I'm having is that its not like the 3g to 3gs upgrade where the 3g was SO SLOW. The current iPhone 4 is fast to the point where I couldn't see it being so much faster.

again, this argument is not to bash the 4s, I think its great and if you don't have an iPhone 4 you should run to get it, but if you DO have an iPhone 4, I think it looks pretty stupid and fan boyish to 'upgrade' to this.

It's a miserable little world you live in.

To be honest, I don't really see why anybody with a 4 would want to upgrade.

Because it costs me nothing. Actually, I pocket a little money from selling my current iPhone 4 to upgrade to the 4S.

You obviously don't know the differences between the two or seen the benchmarks.
If one admits performance matters, they are labeled a "Spec Whore".

At least that's what happens quite frequently here, if anyone dares to be honest. Just do a search using that criterion and you'll be amazed at the anger & hate towards those who pay attention to specs.

of ordering the 4s to upgrade from their regular iphone 4 and didnt tell anyone out of embarassment. talk about a bittersweet arrival. Are you going to ogle in your mind about how you are holding a new processor? I would rather ogle the extra cash in my pocket that im going to party with this weekend.

thoughts? who's GUILTY!

As an iPhone 4 user, i liken buying the iPhone 4S to taking in your 1 year old car to the dealership and trading it in for the exact same colour with a larger engine. Pointless

Saying this, I had a black iPhone 4 and when the white was released, I bought it. So my opinion may not count for much.

terrible comparison.

You worry about what others think too much! My iPhone 4 was no longer covered under warranty, my new iPhone 4S is and the sale of my 4 paid for it.
How is this possible? If you had an i4 on day one you shouldn't be eligible for upgrade until Feb. without paying an add'l $250.

??

OP, everyone who upgraded from a perfectly fine 4 will realise once they've had the phone for a week that it was a total waste of money and they bought into the Apple hype machine once again.

They'll realise they didn't actually need to open an app 300th's of a second quicker and that Siri is a complete gimmick.

Don't get me wrong, I love Apple products and I love my iPhone 4, but this is a minor upgrade whichever way you look at it and no matter how much these morons argue the point.

You aren't going to get anywhere telling these people because: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanboy#Fanboy

Furthermore, those that have upgraded from a 4 to a 4S have cemented the incremental upgrade pattern at Apple. If you'd stood up to Apple and said you're not buying this piece of crap, they may have thought twice about such minor updates in the future. But now they know they can get away with it, it'll just be a minor spec bump every other year.

err. If I was going to MAKE money, like I am in upgrading to the 4S, then damn straight I'd buy the new car.

In fact, even if it COST me a little money, I would.

If by you ordering a phone you don't have enough money left to party over the weekend then you shouldn't be ordering that phone.

Op has to be trolling. Iphone 4s is as good an update as any of the previous updates, maybe even the best one yet. We'll know that soon enough.

This thread is so full of apple fanboys it's quite sad.

iPhone 4S is such a minor improvement and unless you get a good upgrade you must have money to burn to upgrade. It is a very minor upgrade. The camera is an improvement yes, but it's a smartphone, it's not as good as a standard camera. The voice assistant is good, but will people use it? I'm not convinced if this will take off yet or not. Not a big upgrade, as i won't want to be talking to my iphone in public etc etc. Also it's faster? Yes my iPhone 4 is fast enough for now. It's not a 3G which was horribly slow and made me think iPhone 4 was a essential upgrade just for that. Seriously people need to grow a brain if they think iPhone 4 S is that much of a upgrade. If you have the money go for it though by all means. If you're upgrading form a 3G or 3GS or other smartphone then it's a good purchase, but i am confident the iPhone 5 will be the real deal just as what the iPhone 4's upgrade was compared to the 3GS, so i will wait for that as the iPhone 4 does everyone i need to for now :)

Please Mr, I'm going to make about £60 by upgrading, and won't be stuck in a contract when the iPhone 5 comes out... And Siri is going to be a huge help in my job as a pharmaceutical rep (lots of driving).

So am I allowed to upgrade from my 4, oh wise and noble one?

While you party away your money in one night, I will be enjoying my new phone everyday until the next phone is available!

Or you could just not be poor and have enough money to but a new phone and still have plenty left over to spare, I know I'm not alone in this situation.

I said if you get good deals from upgrading then it's awesome and i might look out for a cheap deal myself though doubt i will find a good enough on. But if you're paying full price to upgrade you are a bit dim ;)
