I LOVE it! This is my first iPhone, but I've played around with the first one, and this one is so much faster, the touchscreen is easier to type on and seems more accurate, and I think it looks so much classier than the two-tone back on the first. Fits nicer in the hand, too. Can't say enough good things about it.

I like the feel of it, to me, it feels lighter and I had dents in my alum. Phone, I'm hoping it's more durable...
Third day with it and it's still great. I like the design more than that of the 2,5G, and the 3G speeds are excellent.
I'm very happy with my iPhone 3G. The only thing I was not happy with was being in the AT&T Store for 1 hour and 45 minutes waiting for iTunes to activate my iPhone! The actual phone is great, the AT&T and activation experience is not.
Still, the new App Store, 3G, and GPS make iPhone 3G worth the trouble.

Im very pleased with my phone! I got a the ATT store at midnight Thursday, camped for 8 hours made some great friends who i text nonstop now and after getting the Iphone 3g i love it! Its faster than my other iphone, sleeker, more noticeable, more suable (no denting from drops) and faster of course! the sound is amazing and so is the speakerphone+headphones! It was worth all of my money and the wait! If you dont own one get one! haha (the battery life is disapointing though)
I absolutly love my iPhone. I had a original one and this one is so much better. The design is amazing! It does not feel cheap at all!
I am also extremely happy. My biggest concern was that the back would appear cheap, but I love it... dare I say even more than the original. My only concern now would be over battery life, but it's not that big a deal for me to charge mine in it's dock at work every day. Love the GPS and the speed of 3G. Oh and the app store... I mean, that's the future of this phone.

I do miss custom themes a lot. This stock 3G theme looks like junky poop smears. I also miss free chess, solitaire, and the beat/drum machine.

I had my original iPhone stolen in February I missed the touchscreen, keyboard, safari, visual voicemail, ipod, etc. I realized the iPhone was a HUGE form of entertainment for me. I decided to wait out on buying an iPhone to see if anything new would be announced around summer time. Yep, the iPhone 3G was coming out and I had my mind set.
I love my iPhone 3G so far. I missed my original iPhone to death and this phone is a much improved all around phone.
I got a white 16GB and having that much room feels great (my original iPhone was a 4GB haha!
I keep pulling it out everyday to play with it spontaneously! I love how it feels, how it looks and how much stuff you can do with it.
I was going to start a thread about people who actually LIKE their iPhone 3G since 80% of threads right now are nitpicky HURRR IS MY SCREEN NOT MADE OF DIAMOND??!?!??!?! APPLE IS SCREWING ME!!! THE BEZEL IS ONT MADE OF PLATINUM?!?! WTF!

I am. I had problems activating my Black 16 GB 3G iPhone on Friday. Took me about 4-5 hours. However, it has been wonderful so far. The screen is tinted differently than my version 1.0 iPhone, but I wouldn't say that it is worse, just different. Battery life on the 3G is not as good as Edge, but we knew that going in and there are ways to mitigate this issue somewhat. I wish they had included the dock in this version. I'll have to purchase that after the crowd clears out at the Apple stores.
However, the increase in speed combined with the GPS and App store make this device worth the $299 I spent.

I tell you what, the white iPhone is gorgeous. I was this close to buying it, but I was worried about dirt. After the crowd dies down, my wife may be getting the white one.
