Wireless charging, True Tone display, 4K recording at 60 fps, A11 Bionic processor with Neural Engine, Portrait Lighting, Glass back with easier grip, less prone to scratches - all of these benefits can be found on iPhone 7?
I never said those features were on the iPhone 7. The only one of those features they spoke of was the wireless charging.

I'm not here to bash the iPhone 8. It's the right phone for a lot of people, just not me. I understand you're upgrading from the 6, and all the features you listed are improvements. But virtually all those benefits were also present on the iPhone 7. My problem with the 8 is not that it's a bad phone; it's still one of the best phones on the market. My problem with it is that it doesn't seem worthy of being called the 8. It feels like a 7S.

But you are bashing the 8. So what if you don’t think it’s worthy of being called the iPhone 8? You’re getting the X, why does what the 8 is called bother you? You don’t have to come into contact with it.

The superiority complex with some people on this forum astonishes me. 🙄

Right. It was the wireless charging that I really wanted. The glass back has a little better grip, but it was still slippery enough when your hands are really dry that I had to put a Spigen Thin Fit on it. It ruins the aesthetic, but it's a much more secure grip. Plus, I wanted the faster processor to give it more life when those performance-killing iOS upgrades start coming in...
[doublepost=1509295880][/doublepost]I agree the 7 still has a lot of life - I recommended it to an older friend who got her first smartphone - I knew she would never appreciate the upgraded capabilities to justify the additional cost of the 8. Perfect for a lot of people.

I upgraded to the 8 from the iPhone 6. I'm extremely happy with my choice. My 6 had reached the end of the line, as it had various problems after three years of use. Also, I went from 64 GB to 256 GB, which is a massive jump. I like the look of iPhone X, but I think I'll give it a year or so. Not sure that I'm ready to give up the home button yet -- even if I'm in the minority with that opinion. Really happy with the iPhone 8 so far.

Overall, i'm very, very happy with my new iphone 8 (battery life is amazing, in love with wireless charging and the "homebutton").

However there seems to be an issue i noticed in the past week with the camera of my device.
basically everytime i take a photo and there's just some slight movement of an object/person, the picture turns out to be kind of blurry - even when the light conditions are near perfect. i never had a problem like this with my previous 6s.

did anyone else notice something similar?

I got my 8 three days ago, I went basic with 64gb. I was coming from a 6s with only 16gb and the 8 was a huge upgrade for me. The main selling point for me was the power of the processor and hell...I m loving my iphone 8, it s fantastic.

It seems not a lot of folks are very excited about wireless charging, but I've found it incredibly convenient to set the phone on the pad and be done. No more fumbling in the dark for the connector, and no more wearing out Lightning cables.
Its just slow as heck to charge and you cant use it while it charges.
