It's amazing to me that people blame Apple for problems like this. In reality, the chips aren't faulty due to anything Apple has done.. Apple has actually replaced every faulty component, even if the unit was out of warranty.
Reminds me of my old Dell E1705 with a seriously flakey GPU Dell would never fix or replace.. or my (at the time) 2 year old Mitsubishi Eclipse with a crank-walking motor, that Mitsubishi wouldn't even acknowledge.
The bottom line here, is that you purchased something from a company that BACKS their products. What, really, do you have to worry about?
