I have my 6 and 6s+ but I prefer my 6s+ more. I'm very happy with my phone and will not be upgrading to the 7 next year. I'm going to start staying on the S upgrades instead. I know this phone can carry me until 2017.

My iPhone 6 still works great and I wasn't even tempted to upgrade to a 6+. The only thing I'm not happy about is the size. I would much prefer a 4 inch model. Hopefully Apple cranks out another 4 inch model in the near future, that will likely be my next phone.

The 6s series is the heaviest thickest model and will become dated the moment the 7 comes out so long as it is thinner, lighter and as sturdy.

IMO the "S" is not THAT much different (size/weight wise) than non-S version. I have a feeling most people can't tell a difference unless you hold them side by side. Your post makes it sound like S upgrade made the phones huge and heavy.

I'll take a little more weight and size for better battery/performance/features (3D Touch)/etc... It's already so thin and 'slick' it feels like without a case I might drop it, or slide out of my pocket.

I am still very happy with my 6, enough to skip the 6S. But I will be getting the 7. I always upgrade to the new style. Get the internal upgrades of the S with a new design. It's my preferred upgrade tract.

Some software hiccups aside, I'm mostly happy with my 6+. I think it'll last me the 10 months or so I have left on my phone contract.

Im still very happy with my 6+. Other than the occasional lag or application crash its been flawless. The battery life is fantastic! I average almost 2 full days of battery life easily. Even though I'm not having any issues with the phone I will still probably upgrade to the seven when it comes out as ill be due for an upgrade anyways.

The 6s is reaallllly good so the 7 is going to have to be real world beater to get me to upgrade from my lovely 6s+

I do miss my old 6+ for some reason. I had that phone for 10 months which is the longest I've held onto a phone in years. That thing for having such ho-hum specs was a very solid device. Sure, the 6s+ is leagues better but I wished I could have kept it as a backup phone as I had to trade it in....

It took a lot to get me to move from my beloved 5s. The 6 tempted me but there were too many issues (all the lagging in iOS 8 which was unacceptible for a top end phone) and the 1 GB ram seemed like a slap in the face from Apple. With hindsight it looks like the A8 was an underperformer (it was still quicker than the A7, but it generated too much heat with its design so Apple couldn't clock it as high as they wanted). The A9 is an absolute screamer and the first in a new generation of chip design - the dual core A9 beats out the triple-core A8X. I've been in the US for a few months so took advantage of a Black Friday deal ($719 w/no tax for a sim-free 6s 64 GB). Worked out at £480 compared to the UK rrp of £649. Do far very happy. I'm slightly worried about how much I will covert the iPhone 7 - but the 6s will remain a high performer for the next few years while the 6 will struggle with iOS10.
