Whatcha goin to do if Apple doesn't release it this year, at that point might as well wait until next June for new iPhone? No? 
I'm waiting until November for it. Then if the white one doesn't come out, I might get the black one or not at all. For me I'm in no rush to buy a new iPhone 4. It's just a phone, my iPhone 2g still works just fine for me.

STILL waiting here as well.. but it's gonna be pretty tough to wait longer than say september. I recently got my white 3G replaced for free at my local apple store (stupid wifi connection problem) so that was pretty nice. but dammit I want facetime!! HAHA.

Same here. I've considered going black, but many people I've spoken to think I should hold out myself included. So at least when I have mine, I can say that I've got it in white. And you don't.
I really don't know. I have had a black 32gb sitting here since Friday and I have not even opened it.
I figure if I can resist opening it for a couple more weeks, maybe we will know more about a possible white release date. If not, I will have a shiny new black phone

I bought 2 black ones the day after release and have not regretted since. I would have gotten the white if it was available that day. I have owned black since iPhone's have come out so I was looking for something different this time. I have been watching the posts with people replacing the back glass with white and decided today to buy one also. I like the look of black front white back with black bumper. So hope it comes in next week.

Yes you can do that if you feel that is ok (I don't). If I open mine I will keep it.
this of course crossed my mind.. and I'm not too worried about it in terms of waiting for the white, but this is of course assuming next year's phone would just be a few minor changes n ish. within those minor changes, the boost in memory would be the biggest for me but I'll be getting a 32GB for the ip4 so I think I'd be alright.
yea this worries me too. I'm hoping apple throws out another one of their ridiculous PR releases sometime in august re: the white. ppl were mentioning in previous threads that there were various sources saying they expect the white in september.. keeping my fingers crossed!!

I do it for the ladies ;-), I even had an airline stewardess tell me she loved my pink shirt and how it took a real man to wear it... dang right ;-)
