Like ALL watches, if you go into chlorine pools and ocean, then you need to rinse it good afterwards.

Pretty impressive, must say... But it's stil a gamble though.. But it's nice to know - I have been planning taking it on my snowboard trip coming up, as remote for the GoPro, tracking distances etc. with my iPhone firmly kept in my pocket... Sounds like that shouldn't be a problem.

This was done for warranty service i am sure, but i like Apple's under-promise, over-deliver ways these days.

I just came home from a weeks holiday in Oman - I left my AW at home and brought my SKX, because I knew the connectivity would be bad and that dust/water might be a theme during the week - Swimming, snorkling, trips to the desert etc.

Did you just jump in the pool/ocean with your AW without any further protection? I knew it could tackle a shower, but thats pretty impressive!

Yep, just treated like my Sub without issue. Of course, as with any watch, you want to rinse it in freshwater after being in the ocean/pool.

Your title says "(And Why That Matters)"
So why does it matter that someone likes his apple watch? Honest question.
He's literally quoting the title of the article, so if you have issues with it you need to take that up with the author. Also maybe try clicking the link before being pedantic yet incorrect in your replies.
