i've always kept my iPhone (and iPod touch before that) in a microfiber bag (mine is from a pair of sunglasses).
works really well for keeping fingerprints and such off the phone and general scratch protection. even if you don't keep anything else in your front pocket, dirt can get in there and scratch up a completely unprotected iPhone.

I bought this one , im getting it tomorrow along with the iphone 5

Ill post a mini review

got the pouch today along withe the iphone 5

i was expecting this pouch to be bigger but is actually very thin, using the pouch would be like having an iphone 4 in your pockets without a case, so it doesn't add much bulk to the iphone 5

to take the phone out, you pull on the strap

and the phone lifts up

the phone is tight inside so is not gonna come out unless you pull the strap up, the strap has a magnet so it doesn't flap around

if you let go of the strap after the phone comes up, it will retract

im going to use this pouch with a full body ghost armor screen protector

i know is not the best leather but the inside & out feels nice & is only $20

this pouch is thin & Lightweight

^^My friend has a similar one, but it's made of recycled materials, and ends up looking graphic and artsy. It's cool. I like the lift feature.

As a woman, I sometimes wear clothes without pockets. When I do, I put my (always naked) iPhone into an iPod Sock to that it's protected in my purse. Mostly, though, I keep it in my pocket.

I'll have to find some sort of purse-friendly solution for the 5, since it's juuuuuuuust too long to fit into the Sock. A pouch might be the answer.

What kind of material is the inside? Does it feel like it could scratch the screen or the aluminum?

Had Sena for 4, nothing/ slim case at times for 4S.
Over all just want front/ film like protection, nothing else.

I got a really nice leather pouch for my iP4. I almost never used it. Here is the problem. As protection it is worse than not having a pouch. I most likely drop my phone during transition between taking taking it out of the pouch and answering the call or using it. Sure, if I drop it while it is in the pouch then it is protected. But that is like putting it in a box. I can't use it while it is in a box.

I did use the pouch when I packed my phone for a few trips.

I personally think the Sena Ultraslim was the best one made for the iPhone 4/4S, so I'm going with them for the 5. They have a lot of color options too. The iPhone 4 one was "skin-tight" on the phone, while still making it easy to pull the phone out. They have really nice stitching that seems like it would hold up forever.

They have other pouch-like cases, but the only one I've ever used is the Ultraslim...

Since you're looking at Spigen's pouch case, I'll repost here (I just received my Crumena):

Finally got my white Crumena from spigen: http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/apple-iphone/iphone-5/iphone-5-leather-pouch-crumena-series.html

It's a really beautiful case. My first time using a pouch style case. It looks reallllly nice and luxurious. I love the color and the silver magnetic tab on top looks really nice against the white case. However, the fit is very tight. But if you pull the tab on top, the phone comes out so not too big a problem.

Thanks, your pics and impressions have convinced me to get this one - just ordered one in brown from Amazon. There were 4 in stock when I placed the order, now only showing 2 in stock.

My iPhone 5 gets here tomorrow, and this case will get here on Friday most likely (I was hoping it would get here on Thursday, but Friday will do).

Looking forward to it.

Update after a few days I still give this 5 stars

At first it was a little tight but now my phone slides out easily even with a full body ghost armor on
This thing is so thin & light even with the iPhone in it

How much did it cost when you bough it and did you buy it on amazon from snugg or the seller who's selling it now (Cheron Into)

Thanks.

I've used the Sena ultraSlim for my 3G,3GS,4 and 4S from time to time. Looks good and fits nicely. Works well too except in winter it's a lot to pull out with gloves on. From pocket to removing pouch. Lost two io them in the street this way.

I've been using The Snugg distressed leather version and it's staining back and front Zagg screen protectors on my iPhone 5. Seriously considering Sena Ultraslim in hopes of better quality and to avoid any discoloration caused by the cheap quality of the so called leather.

I am assuming you have a white iphone?

There are a lot of really nice pouches/wallet cases on etsy.com. A lot of different variety and you can choose custom colors and materials from some vendors. Prices aren't bad either.

Pure and simple, pouches are for people that want to protect their phones when not in use, but that don't want to use a case. I like minimal pouches so as not to add more bulk than necessary. Two that really meet that criteria are the Sena Slim case and the Ikonic Edge. I have used the Sena with my 4S and it did a good job, but the leather looks manufactured rather than natural. I use the Ikonic Edge pouch now. It's convenient to carry 3 or 4 cards (I no longer carry a wallet) and the leather is gorgeous. Takes a good bit of break in time though.

The Leather Shop in Seattle

I used and very much liked the Sena Corsa case for my iPhone 4S. What I really liked about it was that it was slim, form fitting, perfectly sized and it had the pull strap to get the phone out of the case. What I didn't like was that it was made in China. Having now the iPhone 5 I searched for another slip pouch that was made stateside. Having found a few I settled on this one from theleathershop.com:

http://theleathershop.com/wallet/iphone-sleeve-brown.html/

It's scheduled to arrive later this week and will hopefully meet my expectations.

I really like a naked iPhone (with front and rear clear protectors) when I'm using it so the pouch works well for me as it provides very good scratch, drop, dust protection when carrying.

Will post a follow up once I have the case and put it to use.

How's their warranty though?

Depends on the seller I assume. In extreme circumstances you could file a chargeback with your credit card company, but I would like to think most of the larger sellers on there would be more than willing to repair/replace products that are faulty, as long as it's not your fault.
