After using iOS7 for two days, I went back to iOS 6. Couldn't be happier!

Speaking of white....I use Safari more than any other app in iOS. Safari for iOS 7 is the worst iOS browser I've ever used (i've tried all the top dogs). I wish I was kidding. While the interface looks clean, navigation is horrendous. If Safari doesn't get "iOS 6 mode", it could be the killler blow for me and iOS 7.

Apple locking down Safari as the default browser has never been an issue, because I love the functionality of previous Safari versions. However, if I'm forced to use an alternate browser, without the ability to set it as default, it could be the death blow of me and iOS....which would be a shame. Sounds crazy, but browsing is the #1 priority for my phone. I can't use an OS without a stellar browsing experience.

Love the iPhone and the ecosystem. I hope I don't have to change ships.

Now this is the first post of significance for me...

Please elaborate on the reduced functionality of Safari in iOS7?

This would be a real deal killer.

I like buttons, not gestures. While having the ability to swipe back and forward is great, it's not as easy (or consistent) as hitting the back button. YMMV, but that's just me.

Secondly...bookmarks. I use bookmarks to navigate the web...period. I am a bookmarks guy, what can I say! In order to pull up bookmarks in iOS7, you have to touch the bottom of the screen, which causes you to open links by accident. Even if you are successful, it still requires multiple taps to access your bookmarks. It sounds minor, and maybe it is for some, but it's a deal-breaker for me. Safari in iOS6 is simple, fast, and easy to read. I hope they offer a ON/OFF Fullscreen toggle.

I have a feeling I'll jailbreak iOS 7 to restore many of iOS6's looks and features. One can always jailbreak and set a different browser as default, such as Mercury, so it's not the end of the world. I'm sure you'll be able to make iOS7 look like iOS6, if you desire. All-in-all, I'm not a fan of iOS7...but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I, personally love iOS7. Never been so excited about a mobile OS...
I think Android and iOS are for different people and different markets. One is not better than the other. iOS 'was' lagging behind but now, I can't wait to download it!
What do you guys think? I'm thinking stock price rebound in a few days and to me, WWDC 2013 really put Apple back on the forefronts of innovation, like it used to be.
I think this quote says it all about the current situation...
"There's no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance!" - Steve Ballmer in 2008

I really wanna know what y'all think.

I like it.

It's a significant change.

It's all behind Android but if the next iphone is larger I'm getting it if there's a jailbreak for it

There's nothing really innovative about iOS 7, and the visual design is awful. People might get used to it, but it doesn't make it less bad. I welcome the long-awaited functionality, though.

Well to be honest.. I think it looks really horrible. I am very sorry.. but to me it almost looks as if designed by some Soviet bureau back in the 1930es.. I guess it is all a matter of personal taste etc.. But if the "simplicity" is where everyone is going (first Google, then MS and now Apple), the next few years will be rather sad...

We have progressed so far in terms of ability to project imagery... To have OSs look like as if drawn by a kid (and one without particular artistic gift at that) is very very sad and, indeed, such a waste of resources and capabilities.

Agreed. But the truth is that Soviet bureau didn't do such hideous things back in 30's, it's the American bureau called 'Apple' that release this 'design' in 2013.

Some people just dont like change. They will get used to it. I in fact love iOS 7! Some of the design will need some getting used to but...I love it so far.

This is not true. I got no problem with change -- for the better. But the apple UI was very refined and excellent. A radical overhaul served no purpose. Instead of adding much needed features, all they did was bastardize the UI/look in the name of change. Functionally, the new UI is harder to differentiate info, harder to recognize a button is pressable, etc. It is not a useful change--it is a cosmetic change for change. Jobs refined the ios6 UI--that's why it was so good. It's sad to see it go.

Its amazing how subjective things are. I love the forward/backward browser swipe on OSX and have been annoyed by it missing on iOS. Seems like it will make things faster as you can swipe anywhere on the page as opposed to hitting a tiny button. I'm happy to have it in iOS7.

I love the concept, but I feel like I'm constantly swiping twice to get my gesture across. In theory, gestures are great. Maybe I don't have opposable thumbs?

I am, however, much more annoyed by the bookmarks implementation. The back/forward functionality is less of a hindrance.
