If you bought your phone with a card Apple has your cc info already.

Either I have misunderstood, or everyone decided to give in?

I've been buying music from Apple for years, I don't view it as giving in. It's more convenient to have my cc info stored with them than enter it each time I buy a song.

Similarly I don't find auto paying my utilities to be giving in just because they ave my card ino.

Kinda like fitting a nice new 50" plasma TV with a coat hangar antenna.

Having an iPhone but no CC rhymes with Pinocchio's dad.

My phone is employer provided. If I had my druthers, I would not use any apple products. I have no intention of ever downloading an app. I don't even have an apple ID. I make calls, I send calls, and I curse every miserable moment I spend on an iPhone 6.

No credit card on my account, and use the Apple Stores just fine to download free stuff.

However, i do use iTunes cards on occasion to charge the account, when i need to buy something.

At worst a low value iTunes card works, and leaves you enough to buy the occasional 99 cent apps when you want.

Darn Missed the date of the earlier posts :(

I suggest making an appointment with the Genius at the nearest Apple Store and having them fix it. You may have set up a "family account" which is meant for parents with children, where the children can buy apps but only after the parent agrees.

It's funny, I just scrolled through and laughed at the amount of times it's been resurrected.
And in this case it wasn't even done to ask a question or to add information or really contribute anything in particular.

What other kind of necropost is there other than the one that contributes nothing? It would be bad form if it was a meaningful post. :p

Hate to say this, but my account was hacked twice since 2008. Once while I was living in England and once while I was living in the States. I use varying 12 digit alpha, numeric, upper and lower case, plus special keys. This was two seperate credit cards. I no longer give Apple any of my credit card info. Ever!
I've had my account since 2008 as well and it has never been "hacked". Maybe stop visiting shady sites on your computer/phone?
