Why are Apple being such d*cks over the iPad Pro release?

I live in the UK and the press release hasn't confirmed all the prices for all models of the iPad Pro

We are told that pre-orders will start on 11/11/15 but no time when this starts.

And we are told that the iPad Pro will be in stores later this week.

Just give us all the information Apple......at the end of the day this is a premium product!!!

'tis because we're not part of the USA only club mate. unless you have exclusivity to that organization they treat you as second rate citizens ;) always have done.

it is correct, in the UK we have not official price/time notifications from Apple's site as yet (unless they've hidden it away somewhere im not aware of)

We don't have that in USA either.

Although Apple is spending tens of millions to cover up the results of a struggling watch launch, they're not making that mistake again, by trumpeting the arrival of this big slate.

If this launch is even less successful, Apple will find themselves rudderless in uncharted waters.

amen - which means "so be it".

For the bored Mods: So what I am saying is agree with everything the OP is saying and want to let others know. Don't delete my post again :) Thanks!

Why are you have such heartache about a piece of tech? It's not worth a premium heartache.

BTW/FWIW, IMHO Apple has fouled up every product release since Angela took over sales. Well, possibly the 6S/6S+ went ok - but that's the exception to the rule.

Sadly enough, I believe the answer to that question is . . .
because they can

If they don't release info then many will not know exactly when it will be available. This better ensures stores will have enough supply on release day because many folks aren't going to keep checking for info like we are.

Who knows, that is my lasted twisted theory. :)

They probably anticipate that they have enough supply to cover the early demand.
They put it on sale at some point during the day, you order when you get time to, you get the product in a couple of days. Let the stock sell out naturally and everyones happy they didn't have to stay up to place an order.

Manufactured demand would be setting a time, purposely keeping the stock levels low, selling it out, announcing how quickly they sold out, then slowly trickling out stock everyday so that there's a buzz that this is a hard to get product.

It seems like the opposite of manufactured hype.

I have no lust for this thing at all (you knew that), but this "arrives later this week" nonsense should be enough to embarrass a startup. For a company that thinks it's the leading retailer in the world and run by a guy who's supposed to be a supply chain genius, it's just plain inexplicable, beyond comprehension.

Maybe to some people but to those on the inside there is probably a justifiable reason for releasing this way.

I tend to agree. Actually this launch is making the ATV4 one look good.

Who releases a major new product "later this week"...
