Why are apps so meh?

Well I don't know the guys workload and I've never worked with him to pass judgment. But something at Apple has definitely slipped a little over the past couple of years.

I still like the Apple TV, I'd still buy it. But just in general, having been an Apple guy for quite some time now, something doesn't seem to be completely right at Apple. Success aside, when it comes to their hardware and software launches, they're just not quite firing on all cylinders like they used to.

Yep. Just... yep.

(Including your comment about not having worked with the guy. It's an important detail that usually gets lost in arms-length discussion such as these - we don't know whether the people he answers to are unsupportive, overly demanding wankers... wouldn't surprise me if they are).

I like what Apple did when you ask for the weather. Looks like a carry over from the iOS app.
