As I have read the forums and quaffed at people complaining about the slightest imperfection of their new purchase, I have always questioned why????

But now as a proud new owner (only two weeks) of the latest 17" MPB, I have now felt some of this pain. Right now I experience two annoying issues... The speaker pops just before any sound, almost as if the speaker was asleep and pops just before waking. And tonight I have noticed my track pad button is sticking at times... Gawd! Why am I so picky?

It's not being picky, when you spend 1000 on a computer, you might overlook imperfections cause of price. When you buy anything from a PRO series line you figure that it is in fact professional level equipment, at least thats what I think. Especially cause I spent 2499+tax+320GB HD+4GB Ram and whatever else. When I pay premium prices I Expect perfection. Nuff said! go get you equipment tended too.

Why be picky? Because all of us in this forum has spent at least $2000 on their laptop and Ive spent $2800 on my laptop and some people have spent more on their laptop, for that kind of money you have every right to be picky. Especially when it comes to the LCD, if theres even the slightest yellowing on the LCD of my $2800 laptop you can guarentee im sending it to apple to fix it.

Its like buying a Bentley and having a scratch on the window. You'd want it fixed right? And be disappointed that it was even there in the firstplace.

i agree with you in this COMPLETELY!
but in reality..it's a game of chance!
even the space crafts we send into space ( made in taiwan/ china) are not perfect.. and they cost billion of dollars!
