Should put that in your thread title. Listen, I don't live or die by what a keynote introduces. But c'mon... this one was lame.
This one was literally almost the same as many others, minus a "revolutionary" product from fairly recent ones.

Your right about that disagreement part.. But in my defense, my thinking cap isnt working at full strength this time of night..

Then how does apple release a new mac mini now when they really cant release a iMac without the processor being available yet?

And lets say they reveal a new imac but it wont be shipping until maybe the summer, Who is going to buy their current inventory? Nobody thats who, Unless they maybe discounted the imacs and minis (current models) But why lose the money just so you can announce something because a tradeshow happens to be coming around?

Honestly, Does this makes sense to anyone? it does to me but im so tired i could be missing something?

I'm thinking that Apple should have updated both the mini and the iMac at MacWorld. Sure, some people here would complain "now we have to wait even longer for the new processor for the iMac" But taking the entire market into account, it would only be a good thing for Apple. Those who actually care enough to look at the specs would've been more compelled to buy. Add this to the more "ignorant" consumers who would buy either way, and it means more $ for Apple.

That's how I see it anyway. Apple missed a huge opportunity.

Hmm, My thought would be if your buying a $1500+ computer, you are going to do some research on it first. Regardless of what you know if anything about computers, you would probably find out somehow that a "New Model" will be out in just a couple months. Regardless if these people know what a i7, ram or even a pixel is, if they know that a new version that is better is coming out shortly, who is going to buy?

I just dont think it would be smart at all announcing something in this industry that you are planning on introducing in 6 months when you have a lot of leftover inventory.

But see, here's the thing. If Apple had updated at MacWorld, I highly doubt they would update again when the new processors came out, and I think others would feel the same. They're not going to update it twice in 6 months, so they would just wait a while to incorporate the new processors. Therefore, there would be no "new" model coming out for a long time, if they had updated it at MWSF.

Also, it's 2 AM on a school night, so I need to be going to bed now.:p
