iPhone 12 why bother?

My XS Max is still very good after 2 years of work use.
Battery life is amazing for a phone that I use daily for work (paid for by work).
I do still find it a bit too large and easy to drop it...
When my work upgrades my phone, it will be a 12 Pro to fit better in my hand.
Compared to my new personal 12 Pro, I'd have to say that after 2 weeks of use, the battery holds more charge per day than my 11 it replaced.
All the myths about shorter battery life is a hogwash!
It should be just fine for another 2 years for sure. My 7 still works just fine. Not as nice but still a smooth experience.
The bezels are identical between the 12 Pro and XS Max I have - I noticed that now that you asked...
Sounds like you are making a good decision based on your usage and needs. Others will do the same. Enjoy your Xs max.
If you own a X or lower, it’s worth the upgrade. Otherwise, no. Enjoy your phone and wait for the improvements for next year.
Remember that this place isn't normal.... most people don't upgrade their iPhone every year as the annual improvements (for the masses) just aren't worth it.

I'm thinking about going old school and seeing if I can downgrade to 3G, if I can. I'll go back to the most basic phone I can since I don't talk to many people and I value my data privacy.
